“A lovely, well equipped cottage, ideal for 1-2 people, nicely tucked away in a village that has so much going on. Clean, comfortable and a lovely welcome basket from the owners. The small kitchen area has everything you need, the decor is lovely and the lighting is great. The woodburner is left ready to light, though I didn’t need it. There is lots of local information left by the owners, who are very friendly and welcoming.”

Large beds and great showers. Very quiet at night so we slept well. Large private garden. Warcop is a lovely village with good walks along the river & streams. “Very spacious well equipped cottage situated just off the main street of Barnard Castle right by the parish church. We were able to check in early, which was a big help, and when we arrived we delighted to see how spotlessly clean it was. The beds and furnishing were comfortable and would have no hesitation in reccommending the cottage to our friends and family”

“It certainly has a wow factor with the tallest windows and ceilings I've seen in a small residential property. The fixtures, fittings and appliances are all high quality, (sadly lacking any manuals). Best to use what three words to locate it as the sat nav on postcode takes you to the wrong side of a wall, albeit very close to the front door. You do get some road noise from the main road due to the vented double glazing but this dies down at night so isn't an issue. All in all a great rental....
