“This is a perfectly servable older style Motel, while it is dated it is clean and functional. The guest laundry only being accessible 'by appointment' is not at all convenient. Parking is good but more care should be taken to do the small things. e.g. the ashtray out the front of my unit had the same cigarette butts in it for 3 days. There were their when I arrived and never moved.”

“Convenient location and comfortable and well appointed room - perfect for our one night stay in Oamaru. Easy parking and ground floor room made access very easy. Would not hesitate to recommend to other travellers. We didn’t use the on site restaurant or bar facilities so can’t comment on that.”

“This is a hidden gem of Oamaru. It’s a renovated hotel of yesteryear. Rooms renovated, bathrooms new. We sat by the gas fire in the lounge area in the evening and enjoyed a continental breakfast in the front room in the morning. The ambience is lovely with old world charm. Staff are excellent. We would stay again when in town, that’s the best recommendation that you can give.”

“Owner really rude and aggressive, knocking on the door at 10.00 asking us to leave. Not 10.10 or 10.01. It seem he was waiting at the door looking at his watch. After I said ok, and even when he could see that my baby was half dressed, he knocked again 30 seconds later. In two months in New Zealand staying at different places I have never experienced such horrible behavior. ”
