“Unfortunately our booked apartment accommodation was unavailable due to a gas leak. However, we were moved to a nice double room and given free breakfast to make up for this. We were also offered 50 % of dinner but the available dining slots were extremely limited so couldn't use that. It was a very comfy hotel, with a great shower, a pleasant mile walk to Keswick. I'd definitely stay again”

En cuanto a la casa, decir que es necesario mejorar muchas cosas para que la estancia sea cómoda y placentera, empezando como punto principal por la limpieza. “We loved this property. It was perfect for us plus our small dog. The outside space was lovely with it's enclosed garden and small wood beside. Views over to Blencathra were stunning and offered us an ideal spot to just chill out especially after some walking in the hills.Difficult to tear yourself away but will definitely return.”

“We had a very enjoyable 4 nights at Lind End Cottage. We were warmly greeted by Janet, who was very friendly. The cottage was clean and very well laid out with a wonderful view from the dining room.The bed was comfortable and a good shower plenty of hot water and at a decent pressure.On leaving Janet called in to see if were happy with everything and to chat about our bike rides and walking trips. Thank you again Janet for a lovely stay.”

“Fantastic home on the lake with gorgeous grounds and views. Plenty of rooms to spread out and have privacy yet also large family rooms for gathering together for meals and games. Hosts were excellent and very responsive with tips for local restaurants. Overall a magnificent property and we hope to return! ”

“Beautifully situated house in a beautiful area! Equipped with all conveniences. We were pleasantly surprised by the outdoor space/garden next to and behind the house.Highly recommended for a wonderful stay in Lake District.The partly unpaved road to the house is fabulous but bumpy. Despite doable, even with a lower car, so don't let that put you off!We loved our stay and are inspired by the nature in this beautiful area. Lots of walking paths It was more than worth the trip from the Netherlands.”

“We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!”
