Vi har været rundt omkring i Vietnam og Thailand, men det her sted var virkelig lækkert. Skønt at kunne trække stikket og være omgivet af natur. Derudover var maden så stedet skønt, hvilket var heldigt, da vi var så langt fra centrum.

We loved our night at hillside lodge. The manager was super friendly and helpful and even though we arrived early they didn’t charge us more and also let us. Heck out after lunch the next day which we really appreciated. The food was delicious, some of the best we ate in Lao, and totally reasonable prices given that we were not close to the town and they could easily have charged us a lot more. The transfer to the property and airport by the owner were great.

Alles was ongelofelijk perfect. De rust die je hier kan ervaren is buitengewoon. De vriendelijkheid van het personeel is hartverwarmend. Het is genieten hier. Lekker eten bovenop! What else do you need! Just enjoy…

The staff is excellent and really friendly. Here you can do a lot of nice hiking and activities where you are basically alone/ off the beaten path or just relax. Also very decently priced, both food, accommodation and transfer/activities. Highly recommend and thanks Holger /w crew once again!

Very relaxing place away from all noise and city traffic. Exceptional food and very friendly & helpful staff. This place will let you chill away all worries. There are also some activities nearby, and night market and city within about half an hour drive, plus shuttle from the lodge every day. Will definitely come again.

Jättefint ställe med trevlig o hjälpsam personal. Det ligger lite utanför stan och uppe i bergen, så om man vill åka in till stan varje dag blir det lite jobbigt. Perfekt om man vill ta det lugnt, finns flera vandringsleder runt omkring, och en fin park på gångavstånd där man kan åka zipline. De erbjuder massage och ångbastu. Vill man sola o bada, så är det fel ställe att bo på, då det ligger uppe i bergen så är det disigt och inte så varmt. Frös på nätterna.

What a gem this is!

12 k outside Luang Prabang up a few dusty hill roads nesteled in a green slope lies Hillside Nature Resort. And what a gem this is. Cosy cabins and a very nice restaurant with great local food and more. Add to that a laidback and relaxed atmosphere and you have the perfect settings for some days in a quiet hill retreat. Holger and his wife runs this place with the help of polite and friendly local staffers from the nearby village. Mr Khan is really great! So we had a wonderful time here. Will be back! We had a wonderful time at Hillside Lodge. It is in stunning countryside (note there is a slightly bumpy 20-30 minute drive from Luang Prabang but we found this to be an added part of the adventure) with a great pool to cool down in either after a days activity or to relax around all day. The team are amazing and weren’t super helpful in arranging transfers and activities. Khan was an amazing host and the food on site was great as were the fruit juices - kids (and adults) loved it all. It is a short walk (1km) to Nam Dong park where we did a Laotian cookery course, dream catcher weaving, and treetop adventures with zip lining - all highly recommended. We loved our time here (and buddy the dog was a highlight - super chilled) and hope to be back soon.

★★★★★ 5/5 – En pärla i naturen utanför Luang Prabang Hillside – Nature Lifestyle Lodge är utan tvekan ett av de bästa boenden jag har upplevt i Laos. Läget är helt fantastiskt, omgivet av grönskande natur, lugn och en utsikt som gör att man direkt varvar ner. Här känns det genuint, personligt och genomtänkt in i minsta detalj. Boendet är smakfullt utformat med stor respekt för naturen, och kombinationen av komfort och enkelhet gör vistelsen både avslappnande och inspirerande. Personalen är extremt vänlig, hjälpsam och får en verkligen att känna sig som hemma – servicen är varm snarare än tillgjord. En extra höjdpunkt var deras hund Tom Yum 🐶 – helt underbar! Inte nog med att hon var otroligt gullig, hon var dessutom en fantastisk guide under waterfall-hiken. Hon följde med hela vägen, visade stigen och bidrog verkligen till upplevelsen. Det gjorde vandringen ännu mer minnesvärd och charmig. Maten, atmosfären, naturupplevelserna och helhetskänslan gör att Hillside inte bara är ett hotell, utan en upplevelse. Ett perfekt ställe för den som vill komma nära naturen utan att kompromissa med kvalitet och trivsel. Jag kan varmt rekommendera Hillside – Nature Lifestyle Lodge och ger det utan tvekan full pott. Deze accommodatie ligt bovenop een berg in een prachtige omgeving. Wij hebben er onze laatste 3 vakantiedagen doorgebracht en genoten van de rust, het zwembad en het restaurant. Helaas waren er ook nadelen. Als je buren hebt moet je fluisteren. En regel het vervoer via de Hillside. niet over de zandweg bergopwaarts wilde brengen. Neem dus vooral contact op met

Hidden gem

A beautiful, secluded location which as you’d expect isn’t the easiest place to get to, but it’s worth it for the peace and quiet. The hotel offers a twice daily shuttle to/from town which at the time of our stay was $4pp per way. Staff very friendly, we enjoyed our time here. Must have a magician in the kitchen as the food was better than we’ve had in some 5 star hotels!

One of the best stays ever - what a peaceful, beautiful place - from location & mountain views to the quality of rooms to the staff and the outstanding food & beverages and services. The owners Holger & Aluna went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and engaged in the Laotian experience. We enjoyed fabulous back-country hikes through local villages and coming home to the lodge enjoying the sauna and pool followed by one of the best Asian menus including a wide variety of plant-based options we have ever seen. Highly recommending this family-operated lodge and cannot wait to go back one day. Holger helped with our onward journey on the Mekong River. 5 stars to this gem!

Great stay outside of Luang Prabang

We couldn't recommend a stay at Hillside more! Do yourself a favor and add a few nights to your Luang Prabang trip and just stay at Hillside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, wonderful staff and relaxing atmosphere. The manager, Maddie, made us feel at home instantly and we filled our days by lounging by the pool, reading in a hammock, taking a walk to the nearby park, getting a massage and eating all the delicious homemade food.

Un havre de paix et un plaisir des papilles

Un site plein de charme et une hôtesse chaleureuse, efficace, disponible et toujours de bon conseil car elle connaît bien la région. Des bungalows de style local, aménagés avec goût et confortables. Superbe terrasse surplombant la vallée. Piscine, jeux, livres et randonnées pour les promeneurs Excellents petits déjeuners et excellente cuisine préparée avec les produits du voisinage L’endroit un peu à l'écart de Louang Prabang invite au farniente et à la sérénité Nous y avons séjourné deux jours avec des adolescents et pensons y retourner

Everyone at Hillside, especially the host, are very friendly. They make you feel very welcome. The lodge is in a remote and beautifull scenic area with a very nice clean pool. We liked the hike through the village and ricefields and visited the botanical garden. If you like to go to the quiet countryside, Hillside is recommended! Go to Luang Prabang before or afterwards your stay because the road is very bad. Thank you Maddie for our wunderfull stay!
