The Vista Grande was just what our little family needed for our short get away. The view is worth the lengthy drive away from town. It had everything you needed available. Communication with the hosts was easy and they were readily available if any issues came up. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs to get in touch with nature.

We loved every minute of our stay in Vista Grande! David & Becky are the most attentive & friendly hosts we've encountered on our Vrbo rentals. Watched the wild lifefrom the kitchen deck (deer photo), our pup, Chief, was a welcomed guest in their cabin & he was right at home! I love the dog friendliness of Luray! Our pup was eagerly welcomed everywhere we visited ( check guidelines for each place) I recommend a dog stroller. It was very beneficial. We will definitely be coming back in the future. I rented this beautiful cabin for a trip I took with my nephew for his 16th birthday. We absolutely loved coming home to it after our days adventuring in the area! The kitchen was organized and well stocked which made our evening dinners much more pleasant. Our nights were filled with stargazing and swinging. Leading up to the trip, Becky went above and beyond by ensuring we had everything we needed not only for the VRBO but the area attractions as well. Our trip was supposed to occur a month earlier than it did, however life happens and things change. Becky was so understanding with our circumstances, and honestly is one of the best hosts I have worked with. Looking forward to our next trip to the area! The cabin was perfect for our annual kayak adventure! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking needs. We were surprised to see one bedroom lacked A/C. We would still definitely stay again. The only thing I would change is the inability to deal with our wet clothing. There is no outdoor line or dryer or even space in the bathroom to hang wet clothes. Going home with stinky wet clothes is not ideal.

Lovely property

My dogs and I really enjoyed this property. I would definitely stay here again. I would give it a 4.5 if I could as it’s definitely an A level property moreso than a B. Besides the view and dog-friendliness, the amenities I was most excited about were the jacuzzi bath and the fireplace. Through no fault of my own, the fireplace pilot light was switched out and could not be used until the last 15 hours of my stay. So that was a bit of a bummer but David and Becky switched it back on as quickly as they could and they were very apologetic about it. Re the jacuzzi, I think their water heater is just not large enough to hold enough for a full bath. You could seemingly get a full warm bath or a hot half bath, which was a little bit of a disappointment. I would absolutely stay here again I just would adjust my expectations on the bath. The view was incredible and the property well appointed and well maintained otherwise! Thanks David and Becky, see you again next time

Perfect Mountain Getaway!

We LOVED our stay here! The house is in a great neighborhood and has epic views off the two little balconies, which really added to the mountain experience! Great communication from the owners made checking in and out a breeze! We'd love to come back here!

Nice little cabin, well located, super friendly host

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect, from communication to the stay itself. Beds are very comfortable. It's exactly as listed. The instructions were very clear and helpful. Next Walmart is about 16 minutes by car. The kitchen is well equipped, the view is astonishing. Heating works perfectly, it gets warm very fast. If the weather allows you, you can even make a campfire. Highly recommended!

Fabulous view

Communication rating w/ property owner is down because vrbo did not effectively pass along messages as needed. Listing cited drip coffee filters provided. We could not find any. Bought a pack & left some for next guest(s). Gracious owners, very clean property, all the amenities of home & then some. Very relaxing stay.

Relaxing Stay

We spent a long weekend at La Casita while exploring Shenandoah National Park each day. It’s about a 30 min drive to the park entrance from the property — I wish it were slightly closer, but the drive is so beautiful, and our stay was a nice escape. We had a fire in the pit out back and enjoyed the large tub overlooking gorgeous Mountain views. Would definitely stay again!

Nice place to get away

It’s a great place. Wish it was a bit more secluded. Neighbors are pretty close, kids and a dog ran through our yard while we were outside cooking. The water in the area is interesting. Safe. But if going for a bath in jacuzzi it will look completely brown when full due to the high mineral content in water. We tried many times. It’s always dark brown. Besides that it’s very clean and safe

Very nice property. Beautiful views. The house is clean and well kept. The bed in the master was comfortable. The view from the master is amazing to wake up to. Beautiful property and felt safe. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies. It was a wonderful time away.

Vista Grande Halloween weekend

We had a very easy time renting the Vista Grande cabin and found it very cozy and comfortable, and also offered some of the most amazing views Kristy and I have ever seen. We had a wonderful time at this cabin and would recommend it to friends in a heartbeat!
