“There are two Kakwele Lodges. The one we stayed at was further from the airport in a back street of Lusaka, about a 20 minute drive. We were charged $15 for each of the 4 journeys to and from the airport, which I considered to be excessive. The room at the lodge was adequate, but a little cramped (especially the shower). “I booked my stay when i arrived in Lusaka late at night. When i got to Acamms the receptionist was refused for me to stay there although i had a receipt from Expedia from my email. Long story short i had to find an alternative hotel in the middle of the night in Lusaka. I contacted Expedia on the 13th about getting a refund and up to now they are still getting in touch with Acamms. So bad service from both Acamms and Expedia. Book at your own risk.”

“This was a spacious and clean hotel with a gym and pool. Nearby is a grocery store and sports bar where we had dinner. Everyone we met was friendly. A water pipe had burst, leaving the apartment with no water when we arrived but they did fix it as soon as possible. My husband reported seeing a few bugs running around the kitchen which thankfully I did not see. I'll give the benefit of the doubt that it could have been related to the pipe bursting and is not a normal thing. My sons loved the TV...

“The accommodation is spacious and modern. The single bedroom apartment boasts a table with chairs and plenty of room for eight people--you could have a dinner party! The apartment had a swimming pool shared with one other apartment. I didn't see that advertised so it was a pleasant surprise. There were no power failures during my 10-day stay although Lusaka tends to experience load shedding almost daily.
