Good instructions on the driveway access. Did not expect the steep stairs. Immediate impression was that furnishings were in poor shape, suitable for a college dorm room not a VRBO listed place. What made it worse was the latent smell of stale body odor. Futon cover was stained. Bed linen clean but stained. Debris on the floor, scatter rug (shag) was littered. Dirty cooktop. Pillows were of no use. Limited basic supplies. Photos showed a light and bright apartment. It was far from it. Location was great. Not five minutes to Chateau d'Amboise, more like ten-fifteen. Complaint to VRBO produced response from manager who came the next day, and worked very hard to make things better, which he did. If it weren't for Patrick, this would be a 1 or 2 star review.
