“We were not able to have breakfast at the allotted time as we had to be out at an event. However they were kind enough to leave us bacon sandwiches outside our room so we had something to eat”

“Great location less than a mile away from the M5 and off the main road. Wonderful guy on reception who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and tidy. We decided to go into nearby Thornbury to grab something to eat. The bed was really comfy and we had our buffet breakfast in the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the hotel which kept us full for the drive home.”

“I embrace historic charm and quirkiness; what I don’t like are doors to bathrooms and bedrooms that don’t shut properly and lack of cleaning. The bedroom was described as deluxe double but there is nothing deluxe about it. The carpet was stained and had not been vacuumed recently as evidenced by dead flies and numerous bits. The door to the bedroom could not be properly closed and there was no lock. I’m not sure why this couldn’t be rectified as the door frames seemed relatively new and...

“This place wasn’t what we hoped for so we didn’t stay. The room was not as big as it seemed on photos, no room to put our suitcases out. Room was dated and doors opened out onto parking lot. Very dark, no lights outside and muddy from a water main break. To make matters worse, a policeman knocked on door to say there had been an armed robbery nearby and offender was seen nearby. Very scary and unnerving. We decided we couldn’t stay and found another hotel. Swan House were not willing to refund....

“We have just returned from a two day stay at Two Rivers, Chepstow. Our room was small but clean. The room was next to the entrance door and we experienced a lot of noise when the door opened and closed. My husband twice requested an extra pillow but it never materialised. We ate in the restaurant on both nights. The food was very nice but we had to chase the waitress for our desserts on both occasions. ”

“La habitación estuvo muy bien, no hacen la habitación ni cambian toallas durante la estancia. El personal bien. No me gustó mucho las opciones que habían alrededor del hotel, el transporte está un poco alejado y está a más de media hora del centro, pero en general fué una buena estancia”
