Menu limited if staying for a few nights. If paying by card you could not add a gratuity as it did not go to the staff. I thought I had completed the forms for goods ordered to be put on my account but it seems I didn’t and only found out when we went to our room and got a phone call to say we had to pay immediately.

Hotel was immaculately clean, i asked for an accessible room which was the furthest room from reception so as someone who struggles with mobility i think this should be somewhere closer to reception, also needs a higher toilet for disabled people. I know the outside of this hotel must be lovely in summer months but looks like it needs a good bit of maintenance at the minute, when waiting for pictures for bridal party i went to sit down on the benches outside but lacking a few planks i decided not to! Chairs in dining room not suitable for long time of seating but the staff were very helpful and arranged for a more suitable chair for me that was great thankyou to them i reaqlly appreciated that. was lovely day though thanks to all the staff

Excellent 2 day break. The hotel is beautiful the rooms are clean and spacious, the hotel staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The grounds are really lovely just a shame that it was not warm enough to sit outside and enjoy. Would highly recommend.

The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The grounds were immaculately kept. If you're outside you'll be aware of the noise from the M6 but it wasn't a problem inside the hotel

I stay at Statham Lodge every week due to work. Staff are always helpful & welcoming. Food is great. Not had a bad meal yet. Beds are really comfortable & I always sleep well. Only downside is some rooms have a musty smell , but generally the rooms are great. I am happy staying here, it works well for me.

I would always recommend requesting an upstairs bedroom - if you have a bedroom you prefer just pop us an email and we will do our best to accommodate. I would recommend 3 which is a boutique room with a walk-in shower and separate bath, Rooms 19 and 23 have lovely views of the garden.We hope to see you at Statham Lodge in the near future – Statham Lodge.

I stay here once a week all the time, to break up my commute. Staff are helpful,food is top notch & the rooms are comfortable & ideal. Wifi is good too

The room had everything that was needed. One small issue was that the shower was too hot, even when the temperature dial was turned down it didn’t get any cooler.

Great staff
Really friendly hotel and great service. Had a fab long chat with Melanie in the bar - inspirational individual. Food was good. Shower temp fluctuated a bit. Bed was comfortable.

Every member of staff was lovely, and extremely helpful. Bar food was fair to middling - decent enough not to bother eating elsewhere, but not exactly fine dining! Room was clean and tidy and well appointed - but it was ridiculously cold. I mean freezing. Such a shame because everything else was decent, but I would never stay there again whilst it was so so bitterly chilly.

Friendly comfortable reasonable.
Lovely very well appointed hotel - comfortable friendly lovely new room, everything I needed. Excellent afternoon tea and superb steak dinner. Good English breaakfast. Didn't want to leave.

I stayed here for 1 night in a family room, with my husband and son. The room was great value for money, well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We liked the breakfast, which was included.

Statham lodge upgrade please.
Hotel in need of an upgrade. All the paint in the hallways is dirty faded and chipped. The wardrobes in the bedrooms are ancient old pine wardrobes painted white on the outside should have been replaced years ago. The shower is completely useless as it floods the whole bathroom making it a death trap as the floor tiles are very slippery when wet. Breakfast room staff are from the faulty towers hotel ,seems like everyone is trying to rush around everywhere trying to outdo the other. When we checked in we had to wait probably because the staff were elsewhere doing something else just like Basil Faulty. Bar staff don’t want to know they just leave you standing there as though you are invisible ,or are they just plain rude. Explains then why the bar area is like a morgue. So to round up ,probably won’t be returning for quite some time.After a refurbishment has been completed. Time to get BUSY then.off you pop….

Welcoming Cheshire hotel.
Warm welcome, comfortable bed and great breakfast. Plenty of room in the bar area, where we met friends. Good cot for the 2 year old who came with us. Lovely Christmas decorations.

Value stay & the steak deal at dinner was a real bargain & great quality. The barmaid/waitress was very friendly & welcoming. Bed was really comfortable & the bath was great. Only negative was you could hear conversations in rooms doors away.

An older property in park-like surroundings. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Unfortunately a band was playing until midnight in a reception room on the ground floor, so we could not get to sleep until the music stopped.

On arrival we were really pleased with the hotel setting, appearance, amount of parking and friendliness of the check in staff. The room was clean and a good size although lacking slightly in shelf/worktop/storage space, this wasn’t a major issue. Breakfast was great. The food and staff were lovely. It would be helpful for there to be a sign telling guests to seat themselves, save them standing around when they arrive. Unfortunately the room was incredibly noisy and prevented us getting the good nights sleep we had booked it for. My daughter ended up sleeping with her AirPods in trying to drown out the noise. Our room was just by the function room and “public”toilets and both evenings we were disturbed by guests coming in and out of the room and doors banging, making ours rattle. The second night was even worse than the first with music and guest noise until the early hours. We were woken early in the morning by staff going in and out of the building. I believe we were very unlucky to be assigned a room so close to an entrance to the building and the function room, without being a guest of the events. Our stay would have been wonderful I’m sure if we had stayed the other end of the hotel. It would be much better for the rooms in this location to be assigned to guests attending these events rather than those trying to have a quiet weekend away. I was initially thinking this would be a great base next time we visit the area. Now I’m not so sure.
