We stayed for 7 days and there was no internet on any of those 7 days. The reception staff were not at all friendly; they didn't even respond when we said good morning or good evening. Abir and her friends from the breakfast team were very helpful and friendly; they always said good morning and asked how we were. The hotel's airport transfer fee was very expensive, $30 per person; we booked a transfer from another place and paid $30 for two people. The room we stayed in was a honeymoon suite, but we couldn't use the bathtub and jacuzzi; some of the buttons didn't work and even the inside of the taps were rusty, so the water came out very dirty when you turned it on. They never changed the sheets and towels unless you asked. The food wasn't very appealing to us, but we gave 2 stars because of Abir and the breakfast team. The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the beach, and we would like to thank Abir and her friends for always doing their best throughout our stay.

The really good bits - the staff are second to none. They are committed to doing the best job possible for their guests, they work extremely hard and go the extra mile to see that everything is to your liking. As a solo female traveller i felt safe, they checked in on me and gave me advice on all things Maafushi. Food.... chef made every effort to present the food well and the menu was standard with a buffet breakfast and hot evening meal of choice. Front of house welcome was lovely. The building needs a refurb. My room was adequate but really does need an uplift from the style perspective as its dated and shabby. There is barely any internet at this hotel! Signal constantly dropping out with no hope of working from this location. The hotel and pool is much smaller than it looks on the photos. There is building work right next door.....people should be made aware before they book. The beach is literally 2 minutes away - sunbeds are available but they have to be requested on an individual basis, there are no parasols available and one of the porters has to run down the road carrying the sunbed. There is no beach presence from the hotel perspective, though you can get a free sunbed and parasol which are already set up on the beach by the other hotels if you buy a drink / food. This works - triton are missing a trick here. One final point of feedback: the staff are what keep this hotel afloat and primarily the reason for the good rating. It would be nice to see them appreciated

PEOR IMPOSIBLE, RESERVAS EN EL HOTEL TRITON BEACH HOTEL & SPA Y TE ALOJAN EN UN EDIFICIO ANEXO, SIN ASCENSOR, SIN SERVICIOS DE HOTEL .... NEFASTA LA EXPERIENCIA !!

El hotel está casi a pie de playa, tiene acceso a la playa local y a la bikini beach. El personal es de 10! Nosotros teníamos el desayuno incluído y no era nada del otro mundo, pero comparado con lo que ofrecen otros, era bueno. La comida que ofrece el hotel está riquísima! Vale la pena muchísimo comer ahí. La limpieza hay que destacarla, ya que el chico da igual a la hora que salgas de la habitación que si pones el cartel para que te la limpien, la dejan impecable. Sí tengo que poner alguna pega, es el tamaño de mi armario y que las puertas no se abrían bien del todo. Volvería a repetir sin duda, elegiría el mismo hotel.

As someone who has worked in 5* properties internationally, I was unsure of what to expect but I needn't have been concerned. From Hasan greeting us on arrival, through the spotless rooms and friendly staff to the departure the stay was great. We are already looking to book for next year. One tip; some of the room balconies look inward so ask for an exterior view.

Avoid the Economy Rooms

This review is a bit complicated. We booked the economy option (or whatever it was called) – the option that is not in the main building. The room that we had kept having some of the power going out. Basically, it was the fuse or something for the card that keeps the main lights and air conditioning going. It went out the night we arrived, and someone reset the fuse. It went out again during the night, so I reset it in the morning after waking up hot. Someone at the front desk said it would be fixed. Allegedly someone came, but the problem persisted. On the last night, they moved us to one of the main rooms. Now this room was fantastic! It was way, way, way superior to the economy room. I highly recommend avoiding the economy rooms and booking in the main building. On another positive note, the staff are very friendly.

Na verdade a estada não foi no prédio original do hotel e sim em um prédio anexo que a princípio nós não gostamos. Porém a estada foi boa com um bom café da manhã e ainda nos deram um late check out.

Lovely

I stayed at Triton hotel for one week with my partner and we really enjoyed our stay. The whole team are very organised, friendly and helpful. For all guests they happily arrange transfers to and from the island, excursions, COVID testing (if required) and other documentation required during this time, as well as any other requirements. They greet guests at the port and also accompany you on your departure to make sure you get your transfer without any issues, which is an amazing touch and helps avoid a stressful travel experience. What separated Trition from the other hotels we stayed at in Maafushi and other islands is that they rent out free snorkelling gear, and get you sun beds on request (so there’s no stressful morning rush for beds). Ikbal and the restaurant team work brilliantly all morning, all day and all night to provide the best service they can for all of the guests. They are always happy to see you, greet you and ask how you are and will do what they can to make your stay enjoyable. The restaurant food is to a high standard and is wide ranging. We had local food from the menu but also saw the buffet dinner served which also looked nice. Nuzurul and all the other members of the housekeeping team are excellent at what they do. They are consistent, efficient and thorough in servicing your room but also take the time to talk to you and ask you if there is anything extra you require. Worst Hotel Ever

Where do I start. First of all, whoever has written the reviews saying that the hotel is good and that beds are comfortable is either having a serious laugh, or they have been sleeping rough most of their life. The rooms are tiny, smell of urine, mattresses are a form of torture and stained with god knows what on them. Bedding is disgusting, with towels turned grey and thread bare. Cushions on bed as decoration had some pretty nasty shady looking stains on them too. Air con is almost non existent, mosquitoes galore in the bathroom. The pool view room was a sick joke too, you had to pop your head over the balcony and look directly below you to see the plunge pool sized swimming pool. You can almost stretch your hand from the balcony and knock on the window of the block of flats opposite. There are at least 2 other hotels under construction that surround the Triton Hotel, so basically there is no view to anywhere other than someone else window in another building or the partially completed building site. The gym is a room about 2m x 3m with some rusty old dumbbells and a prehistoric bike. There is currently a high number of Covid cases in the very local vicinity to this hotel and I believe there was some people isolating in the Triton waiting for PCR tests as we saw the ambulance going in daily with protective clothing and testing kits. Of course the staff pretended to know nothing about it and tried to blame it on another hotel which in fact made the triton seem like a 0 star.

Super staff

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour sur Maafushi. L’hotel Triton Beach est très confortable et bien placé. Le staff est particulièrement très sympathique. Le sens du service est exceptionnel là bas. Tout y est pour passer de bonnes vacances.

Hotel correct et tres propre

Hôtel correct, tres propre avec un personnels tres gentils malheureusent il y a beaucoup de travaux aux alentours. La chambre de l'hotel est collé a l'hotel voisin qui est en construction, qui occasionne quelque nuisance sonore. Maafushi est une île animé où vous passerai un séjour agréable.
