We were very impressed that a member of the hotel staff greeted us at the train station and walked us to the hotel. We stayed in a very clean and beautiful room with a jacuzzi tub. The river ran below our hotel window, but with the double-paned glass, we never heard it during the night while sleeping. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet for sleeping. We were on the second floor and our door was next to the stairwell which has concrete stairs. We could hear voices echoing from the downstairs lobby up the stairwell. We stayed during a time when there weren't many people in the hotel, but during high-season it might be noisy, and I would recommend staying on the third floor or above. The breakfast was nice and there was enough food to fuel us for our morning hike at Macchu Picchu. We enjoyed our stay.
