“This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.”

“The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. “Lovely little property with beautiful surrounding farms and scenery. Good facilities and a great shower. Kitchen was very well equipped. Second room was far too small for our 15 year old ... would be fine for a toddler. Great location for nearby attraction. If you want to enjoy and sit outside in the garden/gravel drive area you’ll need some furniture. ”

“The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room was much larger than expected and the bathroom was clean and modern. Dinner and breakfast were great and all in lovely surroundings. We will definitely stay again and can highly recommend.”
