“Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. “Helpful staff and nice pub with decent food. Exterior room not anticipated - at back of car park and noisy with arrivals/deliveries etc. from 5am so sleep impossible. Room itself ok, basic but clean, but tiny shower room needed some tlc. Airport taxi from Gatwick a rip-off at £27: local one back £17! ”
