  • Situated on a working farm, this beautiful converted old stable enjoys a glorious setting, with wonderful attractions nearby.. 1 step to entrance.

Small enclosed garden with barbecue and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. In the glorious setting of the Cotswold Hills, this beautifully converted old stables makes an ideal base for exploring a myriad of fascinating attractions including the elegant city of Bath, 20 miles, Westonbirt Arboretum and the antique shops of Tetbury. Adjoining the owners’ home, it sits on their working farm in the attractive village of Sherston just 0.25 miles from shops and inns serving food and 5 miles from Malmesbury’s good shops, gardens and abbey. Cotswold Water Park is within easy reach and Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Bibury and Oxford are all well worth a visit as are Lacock Abbey and Dyrham Park (NT). Swindon’s famous railway museum and outlet shopping are 20 miles.

Great cottage and amenities with a lovely hostess.

Great cottage and amenities with a lovely hostess. Everything you could need was already there. Great location to explore the surrounding area and easy access to nearby small towns. 10-15 minute leisurely walk to the local pub (The Rattlebone Inn) which has a delicious menu and The Angel cafe for coffee and cake. A relaxing break in a beautiful part of the country and look forward to visiting again soon.

Location, location, location!

Situated in a quiet location on a farm. Near to many places like Westonbirt, Tetbury and the village of Sherston. Walks from the door. Good layout of cottage with a downstairs shower room.

Amazing find.

Amazing find. We were looking for a last minute weekend getaway and came across this lovely cottage. Carol greeted us with a big smile and gave us all the info we needed. Cottage was warm, extremely clean and had everything we needed. Malmesbury is just up the road. Abbey Gardens worth a visit. They sell snacks and a decent coffee. The Old Stables is in a fantastic location on a farm, but only 10 minutes walk across fields to 2 local pubs, a small Co-op and post office. There are lots of walks to do straight from the front door, there is a small south-facing garden to sit in when the sun is shining, the accommodation was very clean, and we had a friendly welcome. There is a bit of noise early in the morning from the woodpigeons and jackdaws, but only to be expected in the countryside. The freezer wasn't working very well on our stay, but it wasn't a major problem for us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Perfect property for our needs - restful, dog walking break.

Perfect property for our needs - restful, dog walking break. Lovely quiet location, with many walks on the doorstep. Carol the owner, very welcoming, lives next door, was there if needed but left us to our own devices. She has thought of all needs and was happy to accommodate our friends to visit at the weekend. Added bonus was the glorious weather and the family of hedgehogs that visited the garden every evening.

Lovely weekend away at The Old Stables. Everything was clean and we had all the extra bits we needed - all we had to bring ourselves, clothes, and toiletries. Rooms were all lovely and all the right instructions left for any equipment.
