“When we arrived, the unit we had reserved had not been cleaned. We called the offsite (no onsite personnel) number. The person tried putting us in the unit next door. It also hadn't been cleaned. He then tried a third unit which had been cleaned. We chose to stay there. We were comped a dinner at the onsite steakhouse for the hassle. Everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful, but having no onsite personnel is an issue. It is a very remote area so getting help is probably an issue.”

“Owners called to personall check in on us before the stay. They upgraded us for free to their largest cottage. Everything was as advertised. My daughter and I had a nice relaxing evening. P. S. The Clark's Grocery makes the best supreme pizza I've had in a very very long time. So so worth it! Glad we stayed! Thanks Hales!”

“Cozy little place for sure. We needed place close to City of Rocks.had everything we needed. Couple of suggestions for the host and guests. A little trash can for the portopotty. One of the bed is on the loft..ladder to get to it is tricky to get down. Unlees you're 6ft tall and strong enough to left over head, let the host know you be using. Otherwise you'd have message the host. Response was quick for us but things come up sometimes. Overall, happy and will stay again. ”

“The Buffalo Bill Suite was sweet! We walked in and immediately loved the place, It was perfect for my 96-year-old father and myself. And! Yes! The kitchenette was actually functional. We had all we needed to make our breakfast and lunch and of course we had to eat at the steakhouse for dinner. The waitress, Z and the cook were fantastic, too. Many thanks for our perfect accommodations and being right at the City of Rocks!”

“Cute older home with charming decor and some beautiful antique furnishings! Rigo and Victoria are very nice hosts and the kitchen is well stocked, although it doesn’t have a dishwasher, garbage disposal or ice maker. We really loved the fence in front and back for our dogs! But it was hard for me to sleep here because the bedrooms are not air conditioned and when the outside temps were over 80 the ceiling fans weren’t enough to keep the bedrooms cool. There is only one window air conditioner and...

“Nice place to stay although we didn't spend a lot of time there. Checked in, dropped the bags off and joined friends at a campsite for dinner and some photography. Didn't get back until about 10pm or so. Went to bed then woke up early for some more photography. Got back, took a quick shower, and headed out. But the place was clean, and everything worked. A bit on the expensive side, but it is in the middle of nowhere and we were glad to have it.”
