Unfortunately, we did not have a very good rental experience. Upon arrival at the house, I fell on black ice leading up to the front door which clearly should have been salted or sanded. I was lucky to fall on my back instead of my head. The driveway was also poorly plowed. The house had a temperature of 55 degrees. We struggled getting the heat to work but finally got it working. The next morning the heat went off again, we called Mammoth Rentals and had to wait for anyone to call back until 4pm, almost 8 hours later. Luckily, the heat did start working again around noon. On New Year's Eve., the heat once again shut off and we couldn't get it to work. The temperatures on the lower floor ( 3 bedrooms ) was in the high 50's/ low 60's. We called Mammoth Rentals, left a number of messages and didn't receive a call back. Finally, we got through the next morning, they sent over Mitch who couldn't fix the heat and 5 of us (including my 89 year old mother in law) decided to cut our vacation short and left. The heat was finally fixed at 4pm that afternoon after a heating serviceman came by according to my son, who stayed behind with his family. Other than the generally poor customer service, detailed below is a list of other issues: 1) The house was not clean. The area rugs were never lifted to vacuum underneath. 2) It was poorly stocked with towels and pillows (only 1 bath towel per person) 3) the fireplaces were difficult to light and had very low flames (Mitch said they needed to be serviced) 4) there were 4 beds in a home that was supposed to sleep 10. The sleeper sofa had springs sticking up and was unusable. 5) the blinds were controlled by remote controls that did not work reliably. You pressed the button in the bedroom and the family room shades went up. 6) We paid a premium for this week and kept being told everyone was too busy to provide the required Customer Service. BTW, this is the 2nd time I'm writing this review and haven't he
