Our quiet Chalet Verde comfortably accommodates 2 people and a baby. It features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a small private terrace. A coffee machine with plenty of pods is provided. The outdoor kitchen is just a few steps away. Adjacent to it is the mirrored terrace with a spacious dining table, serving as an extension of the living and dining areas. The spacious outdoor kitchen is equipped with all necessary utensils, such as pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses, and much more, as well as a gas-powered kettle grill.
The chalet also features a small safe.
The hot tub is only about 15 steps away on the sun terrace.
The highlight is the Secret Garden, where you can discover old trees, palm trees, caper bushes, cactus trees, and much more in this natural garden. It features a large fire pit as well as a covered terrace with a view of the sea and space for 2 people and a baby.
There are many nice spots on the property that invite you to linger.
In addition to bed linens and towels, we also provide our guests with bathrobes.
Bicycle rental is free of charge; we have a total of 4 bicycles available.
We’re also happy to provide beach gear free of charge. Beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels, a cooler bag with rechargeable batteries, and much more.
The property is monitored by two alarm systems. One is the VIS security service and its alarm system with sensors, which is armed between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. During the day and in the evening, the property is patrolled by four white small-breed dogs. No one can enter the property unnoticed ;)
Our small resort is located on a private road in a nature reserve with an unobstructed ocean view. On our 3,500 square meters, there are only 2 chalets available for rent. The fine sandy beach and the crystal-clear Ionian Sea are only about 500 meters away. The town center of San Pietro in Bevagna is about 1,500 meters away. There you’ll find many cafés, bistros, and restaurants. There is also a pharmacy and a medical clinic on site.
Exploring the Area Around the Accommodation Located on the Gulf of Taranto, San Pietro in Bevagna is now a sprawling villa community that, depending on the season, comes alive with vibrant activity. Surrounded by the beach houses and villas that were once built “wildly,” the lovingly restored Torre San Pietro—now a church—serves as the centerpiece of this charming town.
Of course, the approximately 10 km long, fine-sand beach of San Pietro in Bevagna and the Ionian Sea are the main attractions. Naturally, the town has adapted to the tourist scene, and the coastal road offers a wide variety of options. But San Pietro also offers the tranquility and hospitality of the South.
Of course, one must also mention the Chidro River, which flows underground for kilometers through Italy before emerging in the San Pietro in Bevagna nature reserve near the sea. From there, the ice-cold water flows directly into the Ionian Sea. During the hot months, tourists gather there to cool off with a dip in the Chidro. The Chidro River is also the subject of numerous legends here in Salento. The history of this waterway even seems to be linked to Saint Peter the Apostle, who, on his return to Rome, stopped at its mouth to perform his first baptisms for all the inhabitants of what was then Bevagna. Hence the name, San Pietro.
Continuing along the coastal road, the route leads through the Specchiarica to the next nature reserve: an old salt flat now inhabited by flamingos and a biodiversity that is second to none. The path leads to the idyllic fishing village of Torre Colimena. There you’ll find the famous red tuna and, of course, the Torre. The harbor has an old-school charm and is well worth a visit; the many seafood restaurants are also highly recommended. From there, you continue on to Punta Prosciutto, which features several restaurants and bistros right on the beach, equipped with tables or lounge chairs.
The harbor in Porto Cesareo is also worth seeing; every Thursday, there’s a market right by the harbor. Along the bay, fishermen stand in front of their boats at the pier and offer their fresh catch of the day for sale. Porto Cesareo is always a treat, as the town has a wonderful atmosphere. In the center, you’ll find a street lined exclusively with fishmongers and seafood restaurants—it’s sensational.
