“Lovely cabin with beautiful view of the lake and very short walk to the beach, great for our small family”

“Everything was wonderful, and we made so many great memories. We did want to mention that one of the beds was quite high, which created a safety concern when my sister nearly fell getting down. Thank you again for sharing your lovely place with us. We hope to visit again in the future! We especially loved the screened-in porch—it was so relaxing, and it was nice being able to enjoy the outdoors without any mosquitoes getting in.”

“I have been renting in grand beach since I was a kid so I have had a lot of experiencing with rentals, here’s my take on this cabin; The location was nice as it was down a dead end so not too much traffic but definitely not a 5 min walk to the beach like said -more like 15 so plan for that. No fans provided either. The fridge was pretty small, no dressers except one that had mouse poo in it so I didn’t want to use it. Beds were all pretty uncomfortable. There was hardly anywhere to store our...

“A clean place. Calm atmosphere. The host was cooperative and responded to questions in timely manner. We had an issue with the washer which was not working. And the grill was disconnected, but the host took time to drive from Winnipeg to Grand Marais just to fix it.”

“This was the best weekend. Tom and Cheryl were able to welcome us on very short notice and it was a much needed stroke of luck. Gimli is in my heritage and I was desperate to visit it again. The cottage was very nice and we immediately felt at home. I would love to come back in summer if possible! I'm still amazed how our booking fell in to my lap I'd especially like to thank Tom for his kind words of encouragement”

“Great spot. Even caught some pike in the river.”

“Excellent location. Great for our whole family. Great communication.”

“The pictures of the cabin are deceiving, it is more run down than can be seen on the pictures (cracks between flooring, etc.). Although lakefront, the water is very hard to access, as it sits on a cliff. They do have a ladder down, but it was very difficult getting the kayaks to the water and getting into the kayaks. The cabin was generally clean, but there was a funky smell in the kitchen and one part of the upstairs. It has NO A/C, they do have fans to use the lake breeze to cool the cabin...
