Casa tranquila en la orilla del río Duero 1h Puerto (estancia min. 5 días

La casa ofrece unas vistas impresionantes del río Duero que ninguna fotografía puede producir. Se encuentra a 100 Río en un valle verde, prácticamente intacta por la presencia humana. Se encuentra a 50 kilometros (1 hora) de Oporto y su aeropuerto.

Mucho sol y el buen tiempo son empresas comunes durante el año. A partir de abril, el calor ya es el ideal para permitir disfrutar del paisaje en la piscina privada o en la terraza. Por la tarde la temperatura exterior es siempre agradable. El ambiente es de tranquilidad total. El silencio sólo se rompe sólo por barcos turísticos lentamente ir hasta el río, los pájaros que deambulan en el cielo, la inmersión y sorbo a la copa de vino!

La casa es una reconstrucción de 2010, donde se conservó el edificio original de 1866. Las paredes son la tapioca en la región de piedra de granito con un espesor de 80 cm para conservar una temperatura fresca. Vidrio, el hierro y la madera son las materias primas utilizadas para que coincida con los viejos materiales que otorguen un cálido y confortable de la casa.

En total la casa tiene 224m2 con tres dormitorios, cocina y sala de estar, un baño y un aseo y un estudio. El exterior son más de 1200m2 de Duero sucalcos típica con muchos árboles frutales. La casa también cuenta con una piscina privada rodeada de una terraza con tumbonas y sombrillas para disfrutar del sol o simplemente sentarse en las escaleras de la piscina y relajarse mirando el río en agua referscante.

We had a brilliant week at this beautiful house. The property is very well equipped and thought out with everything you could need. The views of the Douro valley from the pool, terrace and every room are fantastic. Patricia is a friendly, helpful and really responsive host and provided some great suggestions. Beautiful home

The house is in a secluded valley with stunning views along a wooded river valley. At the time of our visit, there was work ongoing building a nearby villa but this did not disturb us. Patricia, the owner, was lovely, very helpful and attentive when needed, but not over powering. The house remained cool in the blazing sun and the pool was just perfect! We would certainly return.

Un séjour parfait… seul petit bémol, problèmes avec la piscine. La propriétaire est plus qu’agréable et joignable et a fait tout son possible pour résoudre les soucis… Peut être changer de piscinistes 😉

A Retreat for Escapism

This is a lovely property and especially good if you have fragrance allergies. There were no artificial scents in the property and the owner went to special lengths to ensure our bedding and towels were laundered in fragrance-free detergent. If you're looking for a clean organic stay away from everything in the Portuguese hills, this will be a good choice. You will need a car for this holiday, the supermarket is around 25 minutes away and most sightseeing/attractions circa 1 hour by car. The views from this property are incredible, the property is well stocked and everything worked well.

An amazing property

If I could give 10 stars I would We have had a most fantastic holiday, meeting up with some Australian friends to share this property. The location is outstanding with what we think is one of the best views of the Douro. The property is spacious and simply beautiful. We did a lot of driving around and to come home to splash in the pool and to eat and relax in such surroundings was a dream ending to every day....and a perfect start to the next. Patricia is lovely and made us feel at home straight away and if you're lucky she may leave you with some wine and olive oil made by her family business. We couldn't have wished for a better holiday. Thanks Tip of the day You can turn your car around easily at the bottom of the lane rather than do multiple hill top three point turns.

Majestic Villa overlooking Douro Valley and River

We were two couples who stayed for 5 nights in Patricia’s beautiful villa and it wasn’t long enough! Patricia is a fabulous Hostess, so helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. She went over and above to make us feel comfortable with the accommodation and area. The villa is in a stunning rural location, and has the most spectacular views of the Douro valley and river from every room in the house. It is very spacious and extremely well equipped with every possible amenity inside and outside. We spent two of our four days enjoying the pool and villa, it was glorious and the weather perfect. Another day was a trip into Porto (Patricia advised where best to park in the city) and the other day was visiting two wineries for tours, tastings and the stomping of the grapes, so much fun! We stocked up with a large grocery shop on our way to the villa in Marco de Canaveses, and made a daily trip to the nearby village for fresh pastries and meat (about a 6 minute drive). It was the highlight of our 17 days in Portugal. The most perfect place to relax and admire the natural beauty of the Douro region. We would definitely love to return one day!

Magnifique emplacement

Wonderful Villa

The villa sits high up on the bank of the Douro River. The views of the river and surrounding countryside are spectacular. It is located about a 15 minutes drive from Marco de Canaveses where you can find good restaurants and large grocery stores. The villa has a well equipped kitchen, large living area and three spacious bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay relaxing by the pool and watching the river boats navigate up and down the Douro. Patricia was a wonderful host and I would recommend Campos de Baixo to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the beautiful Douro Valley.

A propriedade corresponde exatamente ao que está nas fotos. Tem tudo o que é necessário para uma excelente estadia. A única melhoria a fazer seria a colocação de ar condicionado, mas também apanhamos dias muito quentes. De resto, nada a apontar.

Sommer, Sonne, Pool und das mit einem Ausblick, der wirklich was ganz besonderes für uns war. Wir haben die Woche in den schönen Ferienhaus genossen. Schattenplätze mussten wir uns allerdings suchen … Und die Umgebung? Die hat viel zu bieten. Wir haben uns auf Porto mit Portweinkellerei und einem wunderbaren Fado Abend sowie das schöne Douro Tal mit Segeltour in der Nähe von Pinhão und Besuch bei einem Weinbauer konzentriert. Es gibt aber noch viel mehr…

The most outstanding view we have ever encountered!

Heading down towards the villa, you get your first glimpse of the River Douro, giving you an idea of what’s to come! Like someone else has previously mentioned, turn around at the bottom, as this is easier than the road above the villa. Three adults and two children were immediately blown away by the view. The outstanding modern villa was extremely impressive. If you want peace and quiet and not much of anything else, then you need not look any further, as this is the place for you. The swimming pool is fantastic, not heated tho, so a leap of faith when first entering required! 😁 Supermarkets 15 mins away (Lidl, continental, mini preco). Porto is only 50 minutes away, which is such an impressive city, with so much to do. This is in no way anything to take away from the villa, but more a mention. No washing machine, which didn’t bother us but would have been helpful. The third bedroom bed left my brother lacking sleep, as it was a very noisy bed, whenever he turned over throughout the night. Also, maybe a light around the pool area in the evening (aside from the pool lights), Patricia and myself communicated well. A bottle of wine greeted us which was a lovely touch. We would definitely book this villa again!

Stunning rural location

This house has the most amazing views we have ever experienced! Just as the photos depict. The house itself is also an amazing conversion of old farm buildings. From the 1st floor main bedroom, study and ground floor living room you get breathtaking views overlooking the Douro River. Similarly the terrace and pool give you an amazing view point. The pool (approx 3-4 SQM swimming area) has very efficient filtration and stayed clean and free from bugs during our 2 weeks stay without much effort from us. We brought with us a couple of lilos which became my favourite thing to do, floating while gazing at the river with a glass of wine in my hand! The house is remote but perfect if you want peace & quiet! 90% of the time all you can hear is the sound of water, birds, cruising boats and church bells. The other 10% of the time you might hear loud conversations echoing across the valley or the odd crash, bang of house renovations or a dog barking. Nothing much to disturb the peace. You do need to prepare yourself for a driving holiday as most of the sight seeing is about 40-60mins drive away including Porto. We alternated our sightseeing with pool days. Marco de Canaveses is a 20min drive for shopping and stocking up at the supermarkets (the Continente is the best). Patricia is a lovely HomeAway owner and is happy to meet guests and greet you at the house. Her google coordinates (R. do Rio 771) and directions are very helpful. On arrival Patricia will tell you all about the house and give tips on what to visit. So even if you’ve had a long journey you need to pay attention because there’s nothing written down that remains in the house to refer to. Our sightseeing highlights: Quinta de Covela for wine tasting tour. The Pathways walk at Paiva, it’s good to take a picnic and water! Paddle boarding with Enjoy Douro. I haven’t given this property 5/5 stars as we felt the exterior looked a bit tired and needed improving and needed some additional comforts inside. In places the decking around the pool was in a very poor condition. Not as per photos taken at the beginning of the renovation. Also the ‘garden’ consisted of dead plants and could have benefited from some sort of irrigation. The green sun loungers were very aged and the 1 parasol wasn’t enough for a family of 4 and really needed replacing. The main bedroom lacked storage and a comfy chair/s. All bedrooms needed proper floor standing fans. This is an amazing place to stay and we would h

Fantastisk udsigt!

Fantastisk beliggenhed og meget fredfyldt. Perfekt sted til at koble af uden stress. Huset har næsten alt i forventet tilbehør. Opført i en vellykket kombination af original stil og moderne løsninger. Udsigten fra poolen er storslået, intet mindre... værten Patricia er meget gæstfri og hjælpsom med seværdigheder i området. Amazing house with an amazing owner !

We stayed for 5 nights in mid April, we arrived a bit later than expected on account of a delayed flight but Patricia waited to meet us at the house. Though it is only an hour out of Porto the area feels very remote and rural, and while the Google had the address pretty close the directions she had previously emailed us were very reassuring. The house has been architecturally design and built to a really high standard, the view from the living rooms is absolutely stunning. Patricia was very helpful in explaining some of the local restaurants and vineyards that are worth visiting and also provided us with recommendations for walking tours around Porto. It is an amazing place to stay and Patricia made us very welcome.

Wunderschöne Landschaft

Das Haus ist so schön und stylish wie auf den Fotos, aber der Blick aus den Fenstern oder von der Terasse auf den Duoro ist sensationell. Man glaubt, man schaut auf ein Gemälde, einfach atemberaubend. Nichts stört diesen Blick, da er unverbaut ist und die Landschaft fast unberührt. Hinzukommt die sagenhafte Ruhe, man kann die Schwingen der Vögel hören. Wie haben genau das gesucht und es auch bekommen, einfach herrlich. Leider hatten wir kein Glück mit dem Wetter. Ostern war sehr früh dieses Jahr und es gab ungewöhnlich viel Regen. Da das Haus aber total gemütlich ist und allen Komfort bietet, war uns das egal. Wir haben uns wohlgefüht, wie im eigenen Zuhause. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass Patricia ein großartiger Host ist. Es ist halt ein Unterschied, ob jemand eine Immobilie nur verwaltet oder sie ihm gehört und er sie auch selber nutzt. Das ganze Haus ist von ihrer Familie mit den historischen Mauern komplett neu aufgebaut worden und eine gelungene Mischung aus alt und neu. Sehr geschmackvoll in Architektur und Einrichtung, gepflegt und blitzsauber. Außerdem fanden wir sie super sympathisch und herzlich. Wir hatten es nämlich geschaftt, uns zu verfahren und sie hat uns nach stundenlangem Warten mit einem breiten Lächeln irgendwo in der Pampa eingesammelt und uns erstmal zum Supermarkt gebracht. Dort hat sie wieder gewartet, bis wir uns versorgt hatten. Dinge wie Gewürze, Essig, Öl oder Toilettenpapier waren aber bereits im Haus vorhanden. Es gab auch Willkommensgeschenke von ihr, aber ich verrate nicht, was es war. Wir haben uns jedenfalls gefreut. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet, nur die große Pfanne könnte mal ausgetauscht werden. Die Betten haben gute Matratzen und verursachen keine Rückenschmerzen. Ich hätte trotz des S.....wetters gut noch länger bleiben können.

Cadre magnifique et très calme

La maison correspond totalement aux photos, le cadre est magnifique et très calme. La propriétaire est d'une grande gentillesse, et de bons conseils pour découvrir la région. Nous avons passé un excellent séjours avec nos ados. .

Wow - this is a truly stunning location!

Patricia's house is in the most beautiful spot, overlooking the Douro River. It's remote, certainly, but just perfect if you want peace & quiet and are happy to watch boats of all sizes cruising up and down the river from the comfy sun loungers by the pool! The house is well-equipped and spacious and is an amazing conversion of old farm buildings. Marco de Canaveses and Cinfaes aren't far away. They have good supermarkets so you can stock up. There are some lovely towns & villages, quintas and other places to visit. Patricia is a lovely host and is easily contactable. Can't wait to go back again!

Vacances réussies !!!

Très agréable séjour passé dans cette villa située dans un cadre de verdure magnifique. Nous y avons trouvé le calme et le repos que nous étions venus cherché. Région pleine d’authenticité tant par les paysages que par la population. La villa possède de très beaux et vastes espaces de vie et nous avons été très chaleureusement accueilli par ses propriétaires. Idéal pour des vacances en famille.

Fantastic stay !

We spent 10 days in July 2016 and it was really a peaceful and unforgettable stay. Thanks to Patricia and Portuguese people, we felt immediately at home and enjoyed everything (tourism, pool, wine and olive oil !). Hope to come back to visit and meet Portugal soon !
