We had a wonderful time! The place was cozy, clean and charming. The host reached out prior to arrival due to an impending snow storm to check on our safety with traveling. We were greeted by a shoveled driveway, plate of cookies and friendly host. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay. We picked the location because it is only hr or so drive to many attractions or less. Micheal,Thank you for your kind an enjoyable conversation and of course bringing the WV brown dog to help greet us. It was so peaceful enjoing coffee on the deck watching Charlie and Red. Just finished a week at Drennan Ridge - this is a lovely house in an excellent location for access to the Greenbrier River Trail and other nearby attractions like the steam train railway and the Greenbrier Radio Observatory. The view of the mountains is spectacular, and having the horse pasture right next to the house makes it even better! We enjoyed feeding the horses after some instruction from the hosts.The house is spacious with plenty of room for the four of us (adults), including the two separate bathrooms. We did all of our cooking and eating there easily using the many plates, bowls, glasses, and cookware supplied. The only small issue was a lack of condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc.) but that was easily remedied.Having access to the garage was great for us to store our bikes between trips, and to make easy loading and unloading during the (unfortunate) rainy times during our trip. The furniture was comfortable and clean, though a few of the items (such as the dressers in one of the bedrooms) were a bit difficult to open and close.We had one small snag with some mid-week cleaning in the house, but the hosts were apologetic for the inconvenience and provided very generous compensation to make up for it.Overall, we highly recommend Drennan Ridge to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in the West Virginia mountains!

This house is close to town but a world away and perfectly located. It is across from a horse barn and field with a comfortable front and back porch. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen is just the right size and nicely outfitted and equipped. It is extremely clean and pleasant in every way. We used it to tour the local area and to bike the Greenbrier River Trail.

My partner and I stayed at Drennen Ridge Farm Guest House for two nights. The owners were very hospitable and checked in with us at the beginning and end of our stay. The place was very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for our short stay. But the location was the icing on the cake! Breathtaking! We came to bike the Greenbrier Ridge Trail and the guest house was a only a short distance to Marlinton and the trail. We highly recommend this place!

This was a well equipped and comfortable house in a convenient and beautiful location. We enjoyed Charlie and Red and feeding them apples. Our whole time was very enjoyable and we were able to do everything that we wanted to in the area. We want to send our thanks to the owners of this guest house for allowing us to stay here. If we are in the area again, we would definitely try to stay here. Lovely area.

Everything was as listed. We met the owners, very friendly. It was perfect for 2 couples. The beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean and the owners supplied so many extras in the kitchen. We enjoyed seeing the horses, too. Very enjoyable.

Wonderful time away!

Our stay at Drennan Ridge was top notch! Everything was so peaceful and quiet -- great for a restful retreat. We visited several places in town as well as nearby outdoor areas like Highland Scenic Highway and Bear Town State Park (both are well worth a visit)! We even spent a bit of time with the horses (they definitely live apples. Communication with the hosts was easy and check in/out super smooth!

Peaceful, Clean, and Well-equiped

This comfy home was a delight to stay in! Impeccably clean, very comfortable beds, fully-equipped kitchen, congenial hosts, serene setting with horse pasture right outside your picture front window. Town was just 2 miles away, biking rail trail and State parks within easy driving distance. Fantastic house for 2 couples, lots of privacy.

Perfect Home Away from Home

Immaculate home with everything needed to be comfortable plus beautiful views and a gas fireplace. Very close to restaurants and stores but surrounded by fields and woods. Biked the stunning Greenbriar River Trail and hope to do it again.

Wonderful!

The house and property are beautiful! The house was impeccably clean, and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything needed. The property is very quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views. We enjoyed rocking on the front porch, watching the horses and deer. Marlinton is just a few minutes away, where there are several restaurants and a grocery. Mike and Trish were fantastic hosts, and we hope tovisit them again!
