Casa frente al mar privado

La casa está ubicada a orillas del río Chocolay y a poco más de una milla del lago Superior. El carril bici está justo al final de la carretera y hay senderos para caminar y raquetas de nieve justo en la puerta de atrás. Caminatas y raquetas de nieve más extensas están a unos 10 minutos. Tenemos kayaks en el río y, dependiendo del nivel del agua y de los atascos de troncos, solo hay que remar dos horas río abajo hasta el Lago Superior. Ubicado a 12 minutos del centro de Marquette y 30 minutos de Munising; Abundan las oportunidades al aire libre y culturales.

Nos gusta pescar, hacer senderismo, esquiar y hacer mountain bike. Puede guardar sus bicicletas, artículos de esquí, etc. dentro del garaje durante su estancia.

Acabamos de pintar y redecorar completamente nuestra casa. Hay Wi-Fi disponible y una nueva televisión inteligente de 4K en la gran sala. El dormitorio de la reina tiene un nuevo colchón de espuma de memoria y un televisor de pantalla plana, así como un espacio de escritura / trabajo.

Toda la planta baja es suya, aproximadamente 2,000 pies cuadrados con una hermosa vista del río y las ventanas en cada habitación.

La mini-cocina tiene un fregadero pequeño, un refrigerador de tamaño dormitorio, un horno tostador, una cafetera grande y un microondas. También hay varios puertos USB en la cocina.

This property and owners are lovely. Everything is immaculate. We were warmly welcomed and treated so well. This is the best experience we have had staying when the owners are also onsite. The backyard is gorgeous; having stayed in summer we certainly were at peak time though I imagine it is beautiful year round.

Polly & Dennis have a beautiful, welcoming, relaxing place! They were wonderful to work with! We will definitely stay there next time we visit the UP! However, we will stay a little longer so we have more time to enjoy their beautiful home ;-)

As first time users to VRBO, we hit the jackpot with this property and the hosts are amazing Polly & Dennis made us feel so welcome and were always available to answer any questions. Even though they do reside on the main floor of the home, we still had plenty of privacy. We gave them 5 stars and they deserved every one. The only issue we had was VRBO itself. There were a few issues through them that had nothing to do with the property owners that eventually worked out, but made us a bit nervous right before our vacation. Our family had a great time and our stay with them exceeded our expectations. We hope to book with them again soon. Thanks again Dennis & Polly!

We have visited Polly & Dennis’s beautiful home/property several times. They are wonderful hosts & are now friends. We are sad each time we have to leave. Even with a few days of poor weather, we found things to do & still enjoyed being there. We look forward to the next time we return to Lion’s Leap.😊👍☀️

Perfect base camp for four adults. Sauna great for end of the day after long hikes. Hosts are very accommodating and welcoming.

We’ve stayed at Dennis & Polly’s a few times, now. They are always so kind & welcoming. This was our first winter stay there. We came to the area to snowmobile. After a day on the trails, we came back to enjoy their beautiful home. The fireplace took away the chill & the sauna was very relaxing, after a day of riding, in the cold temps. It is so beautiful in all seasons!!

Polly and Dennis are amazing hosts with a beautiful property. The only suggestion I have would be to have a door to the basement that could lock for security and peace of mind for guests. Although we felt safe, the way the world “operates” today that extra piece of privacy would be a great addition to the property especially staying with children.

Dennis and Polly were the best hosts imaginable! They gave us information and helped us with everything. From deciding where to hike, to lighting an evening fire for roasting marshmallows. The property is gorgeous. We didn't quite realize that it was an upstairs/downstairs arrangement, but we would probably have been lost without them. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

Our stay was fantastic. The property is beautiful, the accommodations are more than adequate, and we can’t say enough about the owners. From the date of booking, communication was clear and they went out of their way to welcome us and to make sure we had everything we needed. Staying at their property was like staying with family (family that you like 😊). We definitely recommend this place!!

We had a great stay at Dennis and Polly's place. The property is well-appointed and spacious and they were super helpful in finding hikes, rides, beaches and restaurants. The outdoor space is just what we were hoping for in a UP vacation. Great view of wildlife in the river and yard and great place for star-gazing. Hope to return soon!

We decided to go to see the Eben Ice Caves and do some winter hiking for our anniversary and found this little treasure in the process! Polly and Dennis could not have been more kind and welcoming. They offered suggestions for places we might like to see as well as places to eat. We arrived late but had a note with instructions and a heated garage to park our car in. This was nice because it snowed quite a bit. Polly left us a lovely anniversary treat!!! The view from our bedroom and the main living area looks over a wooded area. We saw eagles and wild turkeys. The location was convenient to all of the places we wanted to visit. We could not have been more relaxed and comfortable for our trip. We can hardly wait to come back!

Dennis and Polly were amazing hosts! We were so impressed with the home and the cleanliness of it all. We don’t leave home often because we miss the comfort of our own house. Not anymore! We had great communication from the owners before our stay to help us plan activities that we would be able to do at the time of year in advance. We really appreciated all the helpful hints. The space was very clean and my kids loved playing pool. There was even a treat for us to eat. It was chilly when we were there and it was great to relax in the sauna at the end of the day after hiking in the area. We are hoping to stay here again during a different season.
