Great views - property needs maintenance

Stunning views from both balconies, good communication from hosts and the area of Marsaskala is lovely. Hosts were flexible with time in/out of the apartment. Property was let down by lack of maintenance in the bathroom and bedroom area. Toilet leaking at the base all over the floor and the set up for the shower is very poor. Clients should not have to put cloths on the floor/against the shower as instructed to mop up excess leakage each time you shower. It was bordering on dangerous to go into the bathroom in the middle of the night with the leakage and then bring that back into the bedroom tiled area on your feet. When it rained, the terrace flooded & leaked into the bedroom. We lost an airpod down the slats of the bed and had to move the bed to find it, bed not moved in some time as extremely dusty/dirty underneath. Electric socket in the kitchen started sparking when used. We referred to the walk to the property as cardio respiratory hill, not suitable for people with disabilities but we got there in the end. Not great to use old fleece synthetic sheets on the bed, cotton only please for asthma sufferers! Overall we enjoyed the stay despite the issues but they need addressing.

Lovely Malta

Nice house, very good location, even if it was very hot, always refreshing wind in the evening. Beautiful view of Marsascala, George and Cynthia very kind, they letf us a welcome package for our first breakfast in Malta! We recommend it!

Wonderful apartment with an amazing view

This apartment is really nice, with the two balcony’s to the north and the south you will have a stunning view over the city and the bay. In the apartment there is everything you need, if we needed something George and Cynthia are really kind and will help you as soon as possible. They also offer an airport transfer. The apartment ist located at the top of a hill but it’s worth the walk. There are 2/3 shops open every day to shop some groceries where you find anything you need. Also bus station is 5 min away and you can travel in 1-2 hrs to anywhere on the island with the bus which is also very cheap. In Marsaskala the city there is also a little beach 20 min walk away. We loved it !

Vi fik en fin modtagelse. Lejligheden har en fantastisk udsigt. Lidt ærgerligt at det ikke er blevet opprioritere at have lækre møbler udenfor. Beliggenheden er fin og central. Sengen ca 160 cm bred.

Clean, comfortable apartment in a great location

This penthouse apartment (with a lift) is situated at the top of the hill giving great views of the harbour and countryside. The rear terrace is large with chairs and sun loungers. Because it is the end apartment you can sit in the sun from mid morning to sunset. The apartment is well equipped and the owner, George, was very helpful and responds promptly to any questions. It is easy to walk to the Harbour, where there is a range of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. However be aware that there is a short, steep hill to climb when walking back to the apartment.

Très bien

Logement agréable avec deux belles terrasses,vue sur le port et une vue sur la montagne.Calme dans un impasse. Bien équipé, cependant la douche mériterait un rafraichissement. Georges est très disponoble,serviable,il est venu nous chercher et nous emmener à l'aeroport. L'appartement est à 10 minutes a pieds des commerces et restaurants,et d'un arret de bus. L'ile est bien desservi,même si c'est parfois un peu long,ne pas se fier aux horaires!! Nous avons passé un bon séjour.

TWO BALCONIES WITH SUN ALL DAY AND GREAT VIEWS OF THE HARBOUR

A lovely apartment but the hill up to it is so steep if you are not good on your pins like my Mum found as she is 85. No buses up the hill and local taxis don't like short journeys. Most things provided in the apartment but we had to buy kitchen roll, toilet rolls and black bin bags. We had a very relaxing time but we only went out once or twice a day because of the steep hill back to the apartment. We has some lovely meals out with Auntie Gill and Marsaskala is a beautiful place to stay.

A quiet apartment with great double aspect views

A warm welcome from George who kindly met us at the airport. Great apartment with everything we needed. Comfortable bed, lots of storage and metered air con as required. George promptly sorted out any issues when asked. The downside were the flanelette sheets.....no!

Lovely place with a great view!

Lovely well equipped apartment with a wonderful view across the harbour to the sea. Lots of ships coming and going. View across open country in the other direction. Free wifi. The owner George does a free pickup and drop off from the airport. Marsascala nice and laid back with great restaurants around the harbour, and good stores for food etc. Steep climb back up the hill but keeps you fit!! Balcony at one side and terrace at the other so you can always get the sun. Only downsides are a hard mattress which George says he is replacing soon, the shower could do with a refresh and the hot water takes an age to come through. Wouldn't put us off staying again!

Tolle Lage mit fantastischer Aussicht

George ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der uns kostenlos vom Flughafen abgeholt und hingefahren hat. Danke! Das Apartment (ganz oben auf einem Hügel) ist groß und gut geschnitten mit zwei tollen Dachterrassen: Eine mit Blick auf den Ort und die Bucht, eine große mit Sitzgruppe und Liegen mit Blick auf's Land. Die Ausstattung ist gut, es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht (ein paar alte Lebensmittel-Reste und Putzutensilien sollte man mal entsorgen). Hier und da könnte es etwas sauberer und besser gepflegt sein. Sofa und Matratze sollten unbedingt ausgetauscht werden. Nachts ist es sehr still. Morgens um 7 Uhr beginnt das Leben: Kirchturm-Glocken und Jäger, die - jetzt in der Jagd-Saison - Vögel schießen. An langes Ausschlafen ist nicht zu denken. Insgesamt ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Marsaskala ist ein guter Ausgangsort für die Besichtigung der Insel mit Bus oder Auto.

Spacious and comfortable

The apartment was clean and very spacious having a huge bedroom with a view of the countryside and a large living room and kitchen area with its view of the harbour. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we enjoyed breakfasting on the terrace in the sun. It was very quiet but also near the facilities,a small supermarket and the bus stop to reach other areas of the island were only10 minutes walk away and there were lots of restaurants down at the harbour. All in all this was a good base for a stay in Malta and with the extra touches provided by George we would recommend it to others.He kindly met us at the airport and delivered us to the apartment where he had generously provided us with a welcome pack of food items and at the end of the week, took us back to the airport and as it was an evening flight he had kindly looked after our luggage all day. It was great customer service!
