“The room was clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good, not a huge selection but enough choice to accommodate most people. The Oakland is in a very convenient location. Saturday night they have a live band which can be noisy if you want the windows open. The bar was busy and the atmosphere friendly the band when we stayed was very good. The joining walls in room are thin, we could here the tv and hairdryer from next door. ”

“Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. ”

“Great rooms our second time staying at staycation and different suite this time everything went smoothly check in etc but no hot water in the room, wouldn’t have been a big issue but with it being December and the solution being to run across the hallway to another unit was cold Shanon was as helpful as she could be but with the cost of the stay this should have been checked before hand with a PPM check Out first stay in the de vere suite was a great stay but this time unfortunately wasn’t so...
