Historic Martindale Schoolhouse built in 1921

The Martindale Schoolhouse is an official Texas Historical Landmark. It was built in 1921 and has been featured in Texas Highways,Texas Monthly and numerous other publications. The home has been thoughtfully renovated, keeping many of the original design and architectural elements. The décor is carefully curated with unique artwork and eclectic touches everywhere you look. The Schoolhouse is across the street from the pristine, spring-fed San Marcos River in Martindale, Texas.

The space
Martindale schoolhouse is guaranteed to make you never want to leave. Great for spreading out for privacy or gathering with friends and family in the common areas. Enjoy the great outdoors in front or back to breathe in the fresh country air and take in the beautiful design esthetics and seating areas. The back veranda has an outdoor fireplace to gather around for those cooler evenings. Your experience will be magical at the Schoolhouse no matter the weather. We are close to Austin and San Antonio but feel so far removed. This rental is for lodging only for a maximum of 14 guests. If you wish to have an event or party, there are additional fees and you must obtain permission from the owners first.

Guest access
Guest have access to the Martindale Schoolhouse as well as the front lawn and back courtyard area. The rental does not include the Martindale Social Hall event space. Please contact the owners for pricing and availability.
