  • Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere located in the New River Park and Preserve . It is conveniently located at the beginning of Meadow Creek on Riverchase Way, at the railroad crossing (it is an active crossing). Enjoy outdoor activities that are right outside your front door.

    The space-
    The view is incredible!
    Enjoy the spacious deck that overlooks the beautiful New River with gas grill, outdoor seating, dinning area and 2 fire pit areas, which is perfect for making s’mores! One fire pit is just outside the main entrance, the second one is on the riverbank.
    Mary’s Place is 100% non smoking inside, offers 3 bedrooms (1 bedroom downstairs with 2 queen beds, 2 bedrooms upstairs each with 1 queen bed. 2 full bathrooms (1 bath downstairs with shower tub combo/ 1 bath upstairs with large walk in shower. TV’s with roku’s and internet access is in all 3 bedrooms and living room.
    There’s a second floor balcony with seating off of the master bedroom. Onsite laundry is available.
    The private shoreline/ beach area directly in front of the house makes fishing even more enjoyable!

Lovely place on the New River We totally enjoyed watching bald eagles, deer, Canada geese, and heard the songs of various birds! The Sandstone Visitor Center is a must as is Sandstone Falls and the vistas at Grandview... Amy was a joy to work with and I would recommend a visit here... We enjoyed a fire on the river front, despite the late afternoon rain on our last evening....

This was a beautiful place to stay for our family! The home was well appointed and the scenery was breathtaking. The location was perfectly close to groceries but far enough out to be quiet.

The house was perfect for our family of 5. Kids loved being by the water and hearing the small rapids just up river from the house. We could actually walk a long way into the river as it is a lot of flat rock area. Kitchen had everything needed and WiFi worked well to support streaming on the tvs. Was also nice to have a concrete pad for parking right next to the house. As others mentioned the train is pretty close and seems to like to operate in the overnight hours but that wasn’t too big of an issue. Host was super quick to respond to messages and had people nearby to bring needed items when requested.

Relaxing by the New River

Great location for southern New River Gorge NP, clean comfortable & private … well equipped, owner was responsive…. would stay again & highly recommend…. We will miss the river & the trains!

Wonderful, peaceful stay

Mary's Place is a cozy, lovely home to stay in with family. It has everything you need. Meadow Creek is a quiet,little community that ranks among my favorite places to stay.

Family trip for a wedding

The check in process was easy and the place was great. We did have to leave a day early because of high water and a mud slide near by but the kids loved the environment and this place was a huge blessing for us.

Perfect

Very nice setting right on the river. Well stocked and nicely appointed. Beds were comfortable - earplugs are recommended for the nightly train activity. Worked well for exploring the New River Gorge area. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!

Highly recommend. It’s cozy, comfortable, and right on the river. The only downside is being so close to the train, but it was otherwise quite perfect!

On the river

Great location, loved the property and the view of the river. The multiple trains being just 40 yards from the track was a ittle noisy . That being said I would stay there again.

Beautiful place!

I think this place would be perfect, no matter what time of year. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, this is it. Many state parks just a short but beautiful drive away. The owners were great and very responsive. The home was clean and comfy.

Awesome River Cottage

Our week stay at this amazing cottage was a truly relaxing experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The cottage was perfect, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. It was cozy and clean; and equipped with all the amenities we needed.Amy’s hospitality was exceptional. She ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
