  • The Toasted Marshmallow is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 6 Nigerian dwarf goats, 5 sheep & three chubby dogs.

    The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted.

    By booking a stay, you are agreeing to make a donation to The Toasted Marshmallow Trust.

Our stay at the toasted marshmallow was wonderful! The goats were so cute and the three dogs were super friendly and excellent tour guides The hot tub was an excellent addition that was fantastic to slip into at night and look at the stars from.The fireplaces inside also made it extra cozy and welcoming.We only stayed for a night this time but we definitely plan on coming back for a longer stay in the spring!

We had a fantastic weekend staying at the Toasted Marshmallow! Clean, quiet, with everything you need for your stay. The animals were awesome. We loved the dogs and their visits. Host had great communication with clear, helpful directions to the cabin. Loved our stay!

The friendliness of all the farm critters lets me know that the owners are loving and caring. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the cabin and finding a slice of serenity in some much needed peace and quiet.

Perfect getaway!

We stayed here for a weekend on my boyfriend’s birthday and it was absolutely perfect! Place was clean and check in was so easy. The dogs were the highlight of our stay!! Along with the hammock and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely and peaceful

Our stay at Toasted Marshmallow was such a pleasure! We loved the hammock, the hot tub, and meeting several adorable dogs plus a very sweet tortoiseshell cat. Highly recommend staying here!

Great Getaway!

We very much enjoyed our getaway at the Toasted Marshmellow! It’s a cozy, gorgeous little cabin that is perfect to relax and reconnect. The view was gorgeous and the animals were fun to go see as well. Thank you so much for a great place for our first trip away!
