Hot tub was great but definitely could have been hotter. House was very clean. Location to slopes was excellent and very convenient. Host was very accommodating and communication was excellent.

I’ve been coming to DCL to ski my whole life, and Slippery Slope cabin was one of the best places I’ve stayed in. The hosts thought of everything! And the view and proximity to the ski slopes (quick walk across the parking lot) were amazing! Definitely stay here!

Another Great Experience

We first stayed at this property very shortly after it opened years ago. The house is clean and spacious. The living room is so comfortable with the fireplace and the game room is so much fun to hang out, listen to music and play games. We built a fire in the fire pit and spent time in the hot tub each night. There's everything you would need in the kitchen (Even though we didn't cook) and plenty of towels with laundry on site, Being right at the base of the Wisp it was a short walk to the mountain coaster each morning and you aren't far from anything around the lake. This is by far our favorite place to stay in Depp Creek and we were so happy that the availability matched up with our trip. Check in and check out is so easy and any questions you may have are answered quickly. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful fun place to stay.

fabulous summer or winter rental

We stayed for a late summer weekend before the back to school and sports grind. We always have fun at Deep Creek and this rental did not disappoint. Tons of comfy seating in the game room, in the living/dining area and on the deck. We ate out most of the time as it was a short stay, but the kitchen seemed well stocked. The back deck looks directly out onto WISP - I can imagine that this rental would be awesome for ski season! The hot tub was enjoyable although not all the jets were working and the game room was super fun. I managed to get the Ms. Pac-Man high score before I left. Rental was super clean and comfortable, beds were all comfortable and in great condition. Will definitely consider coming back again in the future - summer or winter!

Perfect cabin! Clean, location, fun!

The cabin was super clean. The property manager was great with questions/ check in. Loved the smore kit. Kids (ages 3-5) really enjoyed playing downstairs in the game room while adults hung out upstairs. Really appreciate that both rooms upstairs had king beds. Great stay!

Great Cabin on the mountain

Great cabin, perfect for 2, 4 or more. Very clean and well maintained, owners were in contact through the entire stay - very helpful on providing information of the local area. Very helpful for us first timers to Deep Creek Lake. Would definitely return in the future.

We stayed at Slippery Slope with another family of four (kids ages range from 5-12) and had a great time! The property was perfect, location to Wisp couldn’t have been better. The kids loved the game room!

Much needed family together time

Spacious and spotless. 4 adults and 5 kids had a comfortable stay. Bed linens and towels were meticulous. Owner went above and beyond with charcuterie board and Smore station. Kids enjoyed game room. Walking to Wisp was convenient. Sitting in the hot tub watching the skiers come down the slope was fun.

This is a fabulous new property! Proximity to Wisp makes it even better than ski in/ski out.

We had a wonderful weekend at this new property. Location is an easy walk (in ski boots) to Wisp. Even better than ski in/ski out because of the beautiful view of the slopes from the hot tub on the front porch. property owners were very attentive and responsive. Added thoughtful perks - hot cocoa bar and s’mores fixins supplied. Will definitely return to this property.

Convenient for skiing

Loved everything except the noise from the road while sleeping, particularly the salt trucks scraping the road. Great accommodations and location. Prefer staying at the bottom of the mountain, faster to get to the kids/beginner ski area.

Perfect accommodations!

We had skiers and non skiers in our group and the coziness and location of this home made it perfect for us! Great places to eat and shop nearby and easy access to the slopes. Check in and out process was simple and efficient and the owners were responsive and informative!

Deep Creek Retreat

This cabin was even better than expected and had it all: 1. Easy check in, clearly communicated in a timely fashion 2. Terrific location, right on the slopes and close to town. Nearby grocery shop and quality restaurants. 3. New, modern cabin, very clean and stocked for your convenience. We brought along some left over fajitas and were bummed out to realize that we forgot the tortillas. Imagine the amazement when we turned around to see a pack of tortillas on the counter! And the hot cocoa station. The smores pack was enticing, unfortunately the fire ring was encased in snow and ice during our stay. 4. Very spacious hot tub, well maintained and clean. 5. The hosts were accessible, hospitable and responsive but not intrusive. 6. The cabin was very functional, not only the well stocked kitchen, but the large screen TVs with Roku, washer and dryer, and fireplace. PS. Make the time to visit Swallow Falls State Park. We ventured out near dusk on the last day of our stay and were so glad we did! Beautiful little hike through the rocks, hemlocks, and pines along the river with some amazing views of multiple waterfalls.

Thanksgiving getaway

Our family decided to try something different this year. We wanted to go away and very happy we did. We enjoyed the accommodations, how clean the house was, and the proximity to the ski slopes. We took a variety of walks and even saw the baby bears. Great weather and we would recommend to friends. Thank you for the great experience. Hope to come back again.

WVU parent weekend

We had a great stay! The place is really clean and everything is really new. There is very little carpet so you do not need to worry about allergies from previous pets. We traveled with our dog and there was a good area for the morning walks. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we all slept well. The hosts were very responsive and there was a nice welcome package of s’mores and coffee.

Excellent cabin at WISP near Deep Creek Lake

The property was clean and comfortable. The TVs were plentiful and all worked well. The back deck, hot tub and fire pit were great. Everything was very comfortable and close to activities in Deep Creek Lake. One improvement though would be some better knives in the kitchen. It is frustrating and also quite dangerous to have knives that dull and cheap. But overall a great stay. Josh and Aly Guyan
