This house has amazing views and is in a very nice neighborhood with walking/biking paths. Close to everything, restaurants, bars, grocery stores & beaches. You do have to drive to the beaches because the Mad River separates the beach from the home. The decor is fun and bright! If you love mermaids like me, this is a perfectly mermaid themed house! The Christmas Tree and decor was a great touch. Very well stocked kitchen! The best I have ever experienced & very clean. I didn’t feel I had to wash everything before using, kudos to the housekeepers! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels, even for the hot tub, which was nice to have after a long walk on the beach. Loved our stay at Mermaid Cove!!!

What an amazing home, very comfortable, welcoming and perfect for a family with kids. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and had great beds. The living room and kitchen were well stocked and a great place to relax and unwind with beautiful ocean views. The highlight for my kids was the hot tub, they loved it. If you love mermaids or even if you don't this house is gorgeously furnished and very unique. I highly recommend this home for a family with kids, we will certainly rent it again when we come back to Eureka.

Very nice only complaint the sheets were on sideways in the first guest bedroom and the mattress was a little flat and couldn’t figure out how to turn off the hanging outdoor lights. The views were amazing. The house was beautiful and clean.

Amazing getaway

Beautiful house with strong commitment to mermaid theme! Great view of ocean. There is river access, which we did not use.Not direct beach access, but we could def hear the waves. (If you want to actually walk in the ocean, it was just a few miles to the beach) Sitting by the fire table, listening to the ocean.....priceless. Hot tub was amazing. House was well stocked, beautiful and comfy.Def recommend!

Great place for Vacation

House and property were wonderful. Plenty of room for family and friends. Close to lots of amenities. Hot tub stopped working and they got someone to come repair it on the weekend. Great service. Would definitely stay there again.

Wife wishes she could live in this house!

The house is in a great location. The attention to detail was beyond explanation. We had everything we needed and more! The house was really clean. The back yard is beautiful. Perfect for watching sunset. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. Would absolutely stay here again.

Visiting student at Humboldt

We brought the extended family for a visit with our son at Humboldt. The property was exactly as described, well maintained, clean, well stocked, and comfortable. We all loved the mermaid decor everywhere. We appreciated all the little extras provided that made the stay really special. It is clear that someone lovingly curated every detail of Mermaid Cove. The space perfectly fit our group, with a separate bathroom for each bedroom. We are looking forward to booking here again.

Unable to stay at this VRBO

We were all set to stay at the mermaid house. All payments have been made, and then we were informed that these owners pulled out from this platform so we never were able to enjoy the mermaid house which made us very very disappointed. However, Vacasa stepped up to the plate and helped us find another place to stay at.

A lovely stay in the redwoods park area.

Our family of six (all adults; 3 couples) loved this property. Each couple had a bathroom, and the living, dining and kitchen areas were large enough to accommodate us all when we sat down to eat or to socialize. Large open windows! We needed extra towels and they were delivered pronto! 'Tis hard to get the kayaks down to the water, so if you plan to come to boat on the water, be ready for a good hike down the steps and negotiating among some underbrush. A minor complaint, as the weather had begun to cool when we arrived, so relinquishing this was not a big deal. I think new visitors will find the property quite charming and their needs amply fulfilled.

We loved this place. Everything was as advertised and was very clean. Small free standing heater in living area was inoperable but really didn't need it. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great vacation home for a family

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mermaid Cove! It is located next door to a great walking/bike trail. Everything inside and outside was clean. The refrigerator water stream was reeeeealllly slow, but that was only a minor inconvenience. Be prepared to be fascinated by all the ways the owners have incorporated mermaids and mermaid colors in every aspect of the decor and details.

Mermaids Paradise!

This house is a Mermaids Paradise! It was so fun and the views are stunning, both my daughters ages 12 & 26 loved this house! We spent Thanksgiving there visiting our oldest daughter who was attending Cal Poly Humboldt, 10/10 recommend!!
