Do not recommend!
I would not recommend renting this property based on our experience.We booked this rental on Sunday, with check-in scheduled for the following day. Just 3.5 hours after making the reservation, my husband was involved in an accident and ended up needing medical attention. I reached out immediately to explain the situation and kindly asked if they would consider a refund or exception given the circumstances.We provided hospital documentation as requested and did everything we could to verify what had happened. Unfortunately, we were essentially told that “policy is policy.” What was especially disappointing was that we had booked the property only one day before check-in and contacted them within hours of making the reservation. To my knowledge, the property was not rented to someone else for those dates, yet there was no willingness to make even a reasonable exception or work with us.I completely understand having cancellation policies, but there are times when compassion and common sense should come into play. We were already dealing with an unexpected and incredibly difficult situation, and losing $1,500 on top of that was devastating.We met their requests, provided the hospital documentation, and reached out immediately, only to be told essentially, “Oh well.” I truly hope they never have to experience the kind of hardship we were dealing with and then be met with that same lack of empathy.Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling taken advantage of, and I would not recommend this rental to others.
