Preis-Leistung stimmt, superfreundliches Personal

Sauberkeit und Komfort war entsprechend des Preises. Dusche und Toilette war sehr sauber. Klimaanlage funktioniert auch. Auf Nachfrage gab es auch frische Bettwäsche zum Einzug ins Zimmer. (Es kommt in Indonesien häufig vor, dass die Wäsche nicht nach jedem Gast gewechselt wird.) Etwas störend war die Karaoke Bar nebenan und der Krach, aber Ohrstöpsel helfen ja.ich hatte ein einfaches Zimmer mit Gemeinschafts- Dusche und WC. Das Personal war supernett, hat Ausflugstipps gegeben und auch sonst immer weiter geholfen. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt kann man bequem mit der Motorrikscha erreichen und direkt um die Ecke ist ein Straßenlokal mit gutem nasi Goreng und Kaffee.

The staff was sooo friendly and helpful! The hotel is very central. Simple room with a/c. Perfect for a short trip to Medan.

Reasonably good stay

The information on the room I booked was insufficient. I had to upgrade to a room with hot water shower and thus had to pay extra (more than stated on hotel.com website). The staff were friendly and helpful (depending on whom you speak to). The location is sufficiently good being near the bus station that provides transport to the airport. However, it's a little west of the main attractions.

Convenient and nice budget hostel

It is budget hotel, don't expect much but it is perfect for 1 night stay before heading to Bukit Lawang. Staff is helpful with advices on public transportation to Bukit Lawang. However, not all girls at reception speak English which was a bit difficult to arrange transportation for us. Hostel offers shared taxi servise to Bukit Lawang. They charge per person, the price is reasonable. But we were group of 4 and the price we paid for 4 people was too high compared if we hired a private car.

Didn't get what we paid for

The hotel is well situated. The rooms are ok for the price. There was one major problem: We booked and paid a room for 3 people. We only got a room for 2 persons. The reception refused to give us a bigger room or an extra bed. We had to book an extra room with a double bed and we didn't get reimbursed from the hotel or expedia. So we paid for 5 people instead of 3, which is a rip-off... So be careful when booking with expedia or when booking this hotel.

Incompetent reception practices and administration

Accommodation was superb and the staff helpful and friendly. However, reception staff, system administration and customer service was the worst I have experienced in the world and I just spent a week in the Jungle hence the use of this hotel. I stayed here twice and experienced absolute and fundamental inability to manage bookings. No knowledge of who was booking in, the companies they sell their rooms through and total trust of the customer even having provided printed evidence of booking. Incompetence beyond belief, not willing to contact provider hotels.com, happy for you to be left waiting 45 minutes and potentially walk away through frustration. Took everyone coming to reception an age and grief for them to acknowledge any booking. They told me to ring provider myself at £2 a minute call you can appreciate that this wasn't cost effective when room £12 night. Had to leave for flight 2am in morning but they insisted on keeping me waiting in reception until the room was checked by someone which almost cost me a lost flight why when they have your credit card details through a reputable company why should this be a problem? All other staff from were superb and I don't really blame the reception staff but everyone went through grief whilst I was waiting, and this was on both bookings either side of my trek, grief I can do without.

Good location

The rooms in the newer shop lot (2 doors away) is more cramped. Even for 1 person it is just sufficient space.

Simple room located close to big mall, and where the airport bus end station. Far from main sites but with local bus it's no issue. Good air con.
