BEFORE travel, I was most concerned about the parking situation in downtown Melbourne. I sent a text to the property BEFORE travel, and they basically quoted the information I already had access to online (and that I quoted in my chat to them), without answering my question, which I then repeated, with no reply BEFORE arrival, as if handled by AI only. Upon our late night arrival, I asked the security guard who checked us in about parking, and he gave me an answer which I thought matched what I was told online (reasonable), but turned out later to be the wrong parking garage and the wrong price (double of what was quoted). It was only 2 days later that I was able to actually find someone staffing the proper check-in desk where I could get some answers. At that time, it was still only after I paid (quoted rate as promised) that I was told WHERE the parking was located. Very secretive! Of all of the encounters I ever had with service personnel in Melbourne, this was by far the worst and most rude. And this was a question I was worried about and had chatted to them via Expedia BEFORE travel, with no response! Also, the elevators in the property were under maintenance, and we had to take the stairs (4th floor) from time to time. Otherwise, the accommodation was OK.
