    This conveniently located self-contained studio houses a bedroom area with a plush queen bed. A cozy bathroom. A living area with a comfy 2-seater sofa bed that folds out to a double.     The Neighborhood:

    Awesome and extremely convenient surroundings. We're situated on Spencer Street right next to the Southern Cross train station with access to everything all under the one roof.



    Enjoy the convenience of Woolworths Express, over 40 retail stores and cafes, with direct access to Marvel Stadium, Melbourne's Docklands precinct, the CBD and Spencer Outlet Centre.



    There are tons of things to do in the city itself which are mostly a quick stroll away.



    I've included most of my favorite places and more in my extensive "Local Recommendations Guidebook" on this listings page, so please feel free to check em' out for awesome things to do and eat in the CBD area.



    Getting Around:

    Needless to say, surrounded by trams, cabs, buses and situated right next to the Southern Cross station, getting around is not going to be a problem at all.



    Hop on board the Skybus which provides a quick, convenient and cost effective way to get to and from the airport.



    Access to the Overland rail service TrainLink XPT.



    Coach services to Melbourne Airport and Avalon Airport, as well as regional Victorian and interstate destinations.



    Europcar, Budget and Avis rental car depots are just opposite the building in the Southern Cross station, so picking up and dropping off a rental car is super easy!



    There is also a tram stop right outside the main entrance on Spencer Street.



    Most importantly, all trams within the city grid are FREE. Just look out for the "FREE tram zone" signs.



    If you drive, the nearest paid parking lot is available at “SOUTHERN CROSS STATION CAR PARK” or otherwise known as “WILSON PARKING” - 163-235 Spencer St, which is a 2min walk away from us. Alternatively you may look online for other suitable parking options.



    If you just need to park your car temporarily for an hour or so, then you may observe the paid street parking signs around us.



    Other Things to Note:

    Key collection instructions will be sent after booking. Kindly share your estimated arrival time to help us prepare for your check-in.



    If you want to leave your luggage before checking-in or after you check-out, there are affordable luggage services and paid lockers across the road at the Southern Cross train station. They charge anywhere from AU$10 to AU$16 per locker for 24 hours worth of storage.



    Or at the BnB concierge located at shop 3/200 Spencer St, Melbourne VIC 3000. They charge anywhere from AU$8 per bag.



    This pad accommodates 2 adults generously but a max of 4 overnight. Any more than 2 adult guests overnight will attract an extra AU$29 per night, per additional guest.



    The sleeping arrangement for the 3rd and 4th adult would be on a 2-seater sofa bed which folds out to a double.

Disappointing Stay: Poor Cleanliness, Communication, and Amenities

While the location near Southern Cross Station and Spencer Street Outlet was convenient, my stay at this accommodation was disappointing. Storage space was inadequate, with a cupboard mostly occupied by a vacuum and broken or blocked drawers under the bed. Amenities were lacking; only one towel and bath mat were provided, and the towel had hair stuck in it and the towel had stains on it. Cleanliness was poor, with mould on the walls, dirty crockery, and old food left by previous guests. Several advertised items, such as a hair dryer and functioning TV remote, were missing or took days and a week respectively to be provided.Safety issues like electric shocks from the extractor fan and a beeping smoke alarm further detracted from the experience. Communication with the host was slow and unsatisfactory, and the room wasn’t ready upon arrival. The lack of natural sunlight added to the overall discomfort. While the location was a highlight, significant improvements are needed before recommending this property.

Missed the mark

The quality and cleanliness of the linen was disgraceful. The sheets and quilt covers were creased and a dirty off white colour with a few stain marks on them. There was only 2 bath towels (3 guests) that were a dirty off white colour with marks on them and a bath mat. The linen from the previous guests was still in the dryer. It was stated in the rules that if there is linen in the dryer you are not to use it. I’m sorry, washing other guests linen with Coles tropical paradise powder, no doubt on a quick wash so the cycle is finished in time is not sanitary. A laundry service should be used. I rewashed the towels on a hot wash before we used them. The bed is a double, not a queen size. The sofa bed was like sleeping on a bed of bricks. It’s one of the worst nights sleep we’ve had. I purchased a mattress topper for the second night, It was a little better still not great. The tv remote didn’t work. I messaged the host, they replied asking if I have charged it because it’s solar. We had just checked in, how is this up to me? We did attempt to charge it and it doesn’t work. The tv isn’t 45in, much smaller. Mould in the shower, elastic band holding the shower head together, kitchen mixer tap really wonky, stains on the carpet, dirty balcony glass and tiles, broken picture frame, microwave sitting on piece of ply balancing on the fridge. It had a weird smell, not like a freshly cleaned unit. Overall, needs maintenance & a good clean. Location was its best quality.
