“Amazing property, in a building erected in 15th century. Excellent position , just minutes from the Essex Univ. and also from downtown...., but the problem is at night, drunken people shouting and making a lot of noise inside and outside of the hotel. Of 3 nights there, 2 of them where impossible to sleep the whole night. Pity, because the hotel and the staff its amazing. ”

“The hotel is currently going through refurbishment with freshly decorated rooms and a new fancy restaurant (MPW) being installed. Despite this my room was lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and in particular the young chap serving breakfast. Apparently the day I checked out was going to be closure for three weeks whilst works continue. I'm sure when everything is finished it'll be an even nicer hotel. Well done to the staff and management for continuing to...
