The beds were comfortable.The location was convenient for enjoying the beach.The price was reasonable.There were chairs and towels to use. The kitchenette was stocked well enough for a short stay.The host communicated Unfortunately, the room has a lot of deferred maintenance. The floor had a large gap in the main traffic area. The walls were in rough condition. There were noticeable gaps in the bathroom with sandy material around it. I killed a few cockroaches that came out of those.The ventilation really needs a cleaning. The vents were noticeable dirty.It's a cheaper option on Miami Beach and I understand why.

First time in Miami, and this is not the busy part but definitely enough around to keep you entertained. Beautiful beach, and a nice large pool to lounge around for a change of pace.

The location is wonderful. The quick access to the nice pool and the beach/ boardwalk were definitely the highlights of the property. The room also had a nice view of the pool and beach. However, the room was one of the dirtiest places we have ever rented. There was black mold and lots of dust on the air conditioning vent that blew into the room, a lot of yellow/brown grime on the corners of the baseboards, no ventilation/fan in the bathroom, a huge clump of dry hair on one of the towels, dirty/marked walls, a few pieces of laminate floor were broken, hair in the shower and a dirty toilet when we arrived. It really just needs a good deep clean. I feel horrible for even writing this but I feel like I need to. Again, if you can look pass the dirt, the amenities and views are great!

It all depends what you’re looking for…if you’re not going to be inside much, this place is right on the beach with a pool. What you can’t tell is that this room is in an old hotel. It appears to be half permanent residents and half hotel guests. The room was clean, view of the ocean but no balcony. It’s also pretty shabby…flaking plaster and paint. The hotel itself had its heyday in the ‘40s and ‘50s. Our room had chairs to use on the beach, which was nice.

The host responded prior to our stay when I had a question. When we got to the room, after checking in with the Front, we were told that it was ready to go on up. Upon entering the room, it was clear that it had not been cleaned. As we were trying to figure out what to do the cleaning crew came in and began the cleaning. We left for a while and came back and it was cleaned and everything was fine.There’s no ice in the building so it would’ve been nice to have an ice tray in the freezer so that you could make ice if you wanted to.The TV must not have had good Wi-Fi as when on Netflix it buffered quite a bit. After trying for 45 minutes or so we finally gave up. So we were not able to watch the shows that we wanted to as none of the channels would play due to the Wi-Fi, I assume.While the room itself is pretty modest, the fact that the ocean is directly in front of us was amazing. That is not part of the listing on the website. So I would definitely encourage the host to put some pictures in there that show this amazing view and how close the access really is.

Location was great, everything for the room was in order, and within walking distance of some great spots for food. Instructions were timely and clear, with the one exception that it wasn’t clear parking was valet only for the premises themselves, versus a paid garage or similar. Would stay again

Location was excellent, pool was well-maintained and host was responsive. Unfortunately I received multiple bites while staying in the unit. I thought they were from a mosquito, but woke up with a blood stain on the sheets and then found what looked like bed bug feces on the pillows and bedding. I left to stay elsewhere after heat-treating my items and the bites stopped.The host accused me of lying since the cleaning crew did not see bed bugs and I did not have pictures of the bugs themselves. After sending her information about them being difficult to find, she said she would treat the unit and purchase new linens.

The property needs a good coat of paint throughout.Dirty skirting boards. The hob doesnt work adequately . You have to put a metal plate on it to get it to work and it literately takes hours to cook anything. The bathroom isnt really clean it has dirty skirting boards and around bath silicone. The thermosat for airconditioning has no cut of to control tempreture it was absolutely dangeriously freezing . No ventilation at all . Windows were sealed shut. Only way was to leave apartment door open to get rid of cooking smells and odours.

Frustrating checking in process

The room had an odor and the tv never worked. We had arrived late and the security guard didn’t have my information at the front desk, made things very frustrating and won’t stay there again.

We saw cockroaches in the kitchen and there’s no ventilation in bathroom. Beside this the location is great and the room’s also great. Additionally there’re beach chairs available too.

Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for

Room not ready at check in. We had been traveling all day and it was disappointing. We were not early. Owner was excellent with communication. It is an older building. Needs updating. Easy access to the beach. Nice little shop for drinks, snacks, small items forgotten at home. No bar or restaurant that we were aware of. We felt safe in the room but not as much walking around neighborhood. I do not enjoy negative reviews but I probably would not stay here again.

The place had a lovely view straight out to the ocean! Sunrise views were amazing. It was clear that the sheets were changed, but the bathroom was straight up nasty. There was a clump of hair in the shower that should have been noticed by any simply look over from the cleaning people. Some of the towels had stains on them, which makes me wonder if they were washed. Also, just a heads up if you have trouble sleeping bring earplugs. This isn’t specific to the unit, but the walls were thin and it felt like we could hear noise from all rooms around us. On the plus side, the place was in a good spot location wise and very close to the beach! It worked for the short time my friends and I needed to stay, but I’m not sure I would want to be there for a week.

Decent Room, But the Building Needs Major Improvements

The room itself was as described and matched the photos, but the overall property was disappointing. The entrance and hallways were poorly maintained and had a persistent bad odor. The pool area was in need of significant upgrades. While the unit was fine, the overall experience was diminished by the condition of the building. Also, it would be helpful if the listing mentioned that this is part of the Casablanca Hotel, as that context would set more accurate expectations.

Clean, older hotel like room w mini kitchen guy fridge.

The Casablanca was in a great location right on Collins Ave and literally on the beach. The building itself and the unit were a little run down but perfectly fine to stay in Comfortable beds, clean linens, plenty of towels, etc The WiFi was awful. Could not do any work from the room and the communication with the host was mediocre at best.
