Beautiful Location

This is such a beautiful spot, right on the beach! We have two kids and it makes it so easy to be able to walk out the door and be on the beach. Amazing patio and gorgeous view!

The rental was super cozy and exactly as pictured! It was so lovely having the beach right outside the back door. Would definitely love to visit again during a warmer time of year!

My family had a great time there for the weekend. Even though it was unusually cold that weekend and we couldn’t swim we still played games, played baseball on the beach and went to Chicago for a day.

House is just a quaint as pictured, and right on the beach. We loved having the direct views of the water! Management team was very communicative and helpful.

Nice Views

With the forecast of strong Aurora chances we headed north hoping to catch the northern lights. This would have been a great spot had the Canadian wildfire smoke not moved in. The stay was very comfortable and we had all we needed.

Beach stay

The beach is a short walk away and is beautiful and private. The house was a perfect fit for the two of us. The sunroom was warm during the day but the rest of the house was very comfortable. Close to plenty of things…hiking, zoo, food, groceries. Thank you!

Fall getaway

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect, just a short distance from the beach and the nearby state park, which made it easy to enjoy the beautiful scenery and local spots. The home itself was cozy, peaceful, and ideal for relaxing during our downtime. The host was great with communication and made sure everything was smooth for our visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Perfect getaway

I wanted a place to take my mom for her 70th birthday along with her 2 friends and a couple family members. It was a cute/quaint location and we all had a very cozy stay. Being right on the beach was ideal and the house had plenty of space and beach supplies to enjoy a lovely weekend for her birthday. We even spotted a baby deer and her momma! Would 100% come again.

March weekend getaway

This is a beautiful property. The house is spacious, with really warm and fun decor. It has everything you'd need for a beach vacation, and then some.The view is gorgeous! The house is only steps away from the beach and the lake. We were there in March, in like 40 degrees F weather and rainy, but even these beach walks were amazing. The nights were so quiet all we could hear was the lake and the wind. I now want to come back in the summer. Many thanks to our hosts for this perfect little vacation!

Not exactly on the beach. A good hike up a sand dune to get to ur. My elderly husband could not even try it. My elderly friend had trouble with it. Place smelled of stale cigarettes and dust, was rundown, shabby and there was mold in the bathroom cabinet. Furniture seats were dirty and torn and my tall husband had a terrible time getting up from the low seats. The toilet was so low he could hardly use it. The TV worked well and we used the Roku which was good. Beds were ok. Pillows were hard. AC worked well. Loved the open windows on the porch and the beach itself was lovely. But we are clearly not VRBO people. I hated all the clean up expected after paying for cleaning and being charged tax twice. We will use a hotel and go to downtown beach next time. If we ever go back. Not a fun trip.

This property is an excellent location for beach access and scenery. We even had deer greet us. The inside is outdated which makes it feel like it’s not clean. We were left with no toilet paper and garbage bags. TV has Roku and you need to create an account if you don’t have one. We’ve never had a rental without tv service. The property manager was quick at responding to our questions. Location is the #1 draw here.

There is a hill between the lake and the cottage so you barely see the water when you are sitting on the back deck of the cottage. It is a long walk (about 200 yards) to get to the lake. Please be aware the TV in the cottage is quite small and you need a Roku account to access any college football games on the weekend. However, the cottage is very rustic and comfortable.
