Great location. Easy walk to beach. Easy access to community amenities. Enjoyed the pool, ping pong, snack shop, kayaking on the lake. Rented bikes and rode to Washington Park Lighthouse and beach. Drove up to St Joe and South Haven for shops on rainy day. Property was very comfortable. Lots of steps - might be challenging for those with mobility issues, especially since bathroom is not on same level as bedroom. Well stocked kitchen and very nice bathtub. Quiet neighborhood and pleasant experience overall.

Perfect Getaway

Enjoyed a quick getaway to visit the National Park for a little hiking and biking. The property was sparkling clean, well-appointed and very comfortable. Excellent beach access via the community boardwalk across the street, and the beach sunsets were spectacular! We were really happy with our stay here.

Perfect Beach Weekend

The Honeysuckle Cottage was clean, quaint, and peaceful. I booked the weekend for my sisters 46th birthday weekend getaway and we were grateful for our stay here! Everything was clean and orderly in the cottage and the beach is within a short walk from the front of the home. We could not have wanted for anything more!

Wouldn't go back.

Is the property nice looking and nice, yes. Do you have a view of the lake from the kitchen like the ad stated, not at all. There was nothing easy about unloading/loading the car. Very awkward location. Wifi worked 50% of the time, which wouldnt be a big deal besides I have a toddler that is much more entertained with wifi. The owners of the place did try really hard to fix that for us and honestly I feel like it's the location as phone service was horrible there as well. Communication isn't great as it took me a good 15 minutes to figure out where to check in and only figured it out when I walked into a rental thinking it was where I checked in and they lead me where I needed to go. The lake/beach is beautiful but a haul to get there and back. Overall, I just don't think Michigan City is what it's hyped up to be by some.

Weekend at the Beach

Everything was great! Location is right by the beach and an easy walk. The amenities are all wonderful. Space is clean, good layout and large for a carriage house / loft. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice extended weekend @ Beachwalk Vacation Rentals

Very nice location in Michigan City, IN, just a short boardwalk stroll to the Lake Michigan beach. We live in central Missouri and only had a 6-hr drive. Spent good portion of a day and did some hiking at Indiana Dunes National Park, which was less than 20 minutes away. Spent another day taking in the 44th Annual Popcorn Festival in Valparaiso IN, which was very enjoyable. Also went up the Michigan shoreline to New Buffalo, St Joseph and Benton Harbor to some nice beaches and restaurants. Very nice accommodations and very nice area.

Beachwalk Honeysuckle Carriage House

Homes in Beachwalk are closely spaced and many have carriage apartments built above the main house's garage which is what we rented. The benefit of this particular rental is it's close to the main road where there are fewer surrounding homes and noise level is better. It is also very close to the actual boardwalk entrance to lovely Lake Michigan. The accommodation was exactly as advertised. Laundry facilities, closet, king size bed in loft. Bathroom, living space and small kitchen on first level. Full internet and smart TV. Bright and sunny. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. We would happily book again. There appear to be many additional amenities in Beachwalk that we did not take advantage of. A pool, exercise classes, a small lake, etc. Only downside: We were there on Labor Day Weekend. The Michigan City/Long Beach area on July 4 or Labor Day is unbelievably crowded and Beachwalk is so densely populated with residents and renters it is a bit overwhelming.

Huge Studio Loft, Just Perfect

Family of four with 13 year old twins stayed comfortably. Well appointed and truly spacious feel with soaring ceiling height. We met the owners going out one day and they are very friendly and helpful. If you are staying in Michigan City, Beachwalk Vacation Rentals is where you want to be. The pool, courts, and beach hut were great. And Honeysuckle Carriage is so close to Lake Michigan. Note: There is a fairly small but rather steep hill to walk up to unit. Bonus: your parking spot is always in the shade!

Cozy!

This was a very clean stay! Very new and close to the beach. Perfect size for the my family of 4. I would recommend getting a curtain for the window upstairs, as it gets insanely bright through that window so the whole loft is bright by 5 am.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Located above a garage with a small deck off the living room the unit was very comfortable. The master bedroom is a loft. Easy walk to the beach and "downtown" Beachwalk. Would definitely choose Honeysuckle again. The few minor questions we had were all taken care of promptly by management with no issues.Kudos to all.
