Beautiful property

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house itself was beautiful—spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The setting was just as impressive, offering peaceful views and a great atmosphere to relax and unwind. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and well-appointed home base for our stay.

Connecticut visit

Perfect Setting. Very comfortable.

Great stay while our son moved into Wesleyan University. It was a nice alternative to staying at one of the local hotels. Clean and comfortable. We love the deck off the back with serene views of that lake. 5 minute drive to Wesleyan University. Will stay again for sure.

House on the lake

It’s a nice summer cottage. Great deck and view of the water. Close to Middletown and Wesleyan University. Very nice deck and relaxing fire pit by the pond.

Peaceful Stay

This was a nice and tranquil location…not too far away from home with a beautiful view of the pond. The house was clean and had all the amenities I needed. I brought a few “just in case” items, but didn’t need to use them. I would definitely stay here again…just to get away from the busyness of everyday life.

Great property!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for us. There was a few things I wanted to mention. One of the coffee tables is broken, there is a nail on sticking up on the stairs going up. And, the couch is really really uncomfortable. Otherwise, the stay was awesome! We plan to stay there again.

Very nice flipped house, conveniently located

We stayed at Serenity for 4 days over the Christmas Holiday while visiting elderly parents who no longer have room for our family of 4. The house is being renovated and love the updates so far. We had a mishap with one of the electric heaters upon arrival and our host sent someone out immediately to fix (a surprise since this was Christmas weekend). We could have used a few more towels but enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back!

Peaceful

Enjoyed our stay. Relaxing and peaceful view of the pond. Enjoyed morning coffee on the large deck and beds were comfortable. The kitchen area was well appointed though it did get warm with no ac. We bought a fan and directed airflow into the kitchen from the cooler living room area and it worked nicely to cool the kitchen with the bathroom door closed. Bathroom had a musty smell only when the fan was not on. Would stay again, convenient location for our purposes. Overall good experience!

Visiting Daughter at Wesleyan

We had a great time at this waterfront property. We were in town for a week to visit our daughter who just started college at Wesleyan. The house was a 5-10 minute drive to the campus depending on traffic. Very convenient and much better than spending a week in a hotel. The host was very responsive and we had everything we needed. The lake was a bonus for me. I brought a fly rod and spent my down time catching bass and blue gill while my wife relaxed gazing at the beautiful views. We spotted a giant carp cruising around in the water as well, but I opted not to play around with a fish that size. 😂 We would stay there again and appreciate the host for a pleasant stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice enough place

Overall, the property is OK, and it was clean. Yes, the appliances were high-end, but the furniture definitely needs updating, especially the living room sofa and chair -- not easy to get out of and no support. We didn't need to use it, but if someone had to sleep on the sofabed, it would probably have been very uncomfortable. With the cooler weather, we were very disappointed that all windows did not have screens (or the screens had holes in them) so they could not be opened. Upstairs had no window screens at all, so windows had to remain closed. What we enjoyed most was the back deck overlooking the lake. We brought citronella candles and sat out late afternoon/early evening. When we made the reservation, we did not realize the "host" was a rental agency. Communication was very difficult in the weeks before our stay. We had several emails and phone calls go unanswered.

The house was cozy and comfortable. The location was great while dropping our son off at Wesleyan University for his sophomore year. The lake was a peaceful place to relax and read.
