“I spent two nights at The Bear Hotel. The room was small but functional; however, the furniture was very tired and badly worn. The paint was peeling and stained in places, as though an old leak had never been properly repaired. The bathroom had also seen better days. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout my stay. The bedside table was covered in dust, and the carpet was disgustingly filthy. Overall, the room felt neglected and in desperate need of refurbishment, along with a much higher...

“Beautiful room and en-suite in a lodge with four others, tucked away at the back of the garden. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated two armchairs, decent size fridge and small outside area with table and chairs. Evening meal in the pub was also excellent. Lovely beer garden and attentive hosts. We didn't have breakfast as making an early start but ordered a packed lunch which was very handy.”
