Impecably clean, modern but very cozy and welcoming, pet friendly, far-away feel but close to Burr Ridge and Frankemuth, with home features that made you want to linger, such as a self-standing tub and enormous shower with a heated bathroom floor in the primary bathroom, tons of channels to access on the TV, spacious kitchen with coffee grounds and creamer for your mornings, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in both full baths, and soft blankets to use to curl up by the wood-burning fireplace (we got wood from the local Menards). Outside there are lights, chairs, a covered porch, and fire pit to enjoy. The only negar8ve was that

Bur Oak in Millington, Michigan was the perfect holiday retreat for our party of three couples reuniting after 40 years of friendship since high school. The home is warm and inviting with an open kitchen and great room. Two bedrooms and a full bath are on one side and the master with en suite full bath with double sinks, a soaking tub, and European walk in shower on the other side provide for privacy. The master bath has heated floors! We prepared grand feasts and caught up with each other while warming ourselves by the fire. The secluded location makes for a magical experience. The only suggestion we have is conversion to a soft water system. We will certainly return again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home. It has such a homey feel. It was so nice after a day of shopping/sightseeing to come home and build a fire and relax. Beds were comfortable. Most definitely recommend this home!!

This stay was AMAZING! My family and dogs loved the property, it’s close enough to everything while still being private. The decor was beautiful and moody and beyond perfect for the beginning of fall. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Excellent place. Pictures dont do it justice. Nicely decorated, plenty of space, quiet ares, games, books, and a lovely space outside. Would recommend for anyone and would love to come back to stay here on my nezt trip to the area!!!!

Beautiful location and home

We were all very happy with our stay. The ladies enjoyed the decorations. We loved the heated tiles in the bathroom. The winecork Michigan was great. The wildlife was cool too. Really nice place!

An absolute gem in the country within driving distance to great tourist spots!

What an absolutely lovely property! The home layout is amazing, and the modernisation is so tasteful and well executed!A note: this is a three bedroom place, so ensure if you have more than 3 in your party you plan accordingly; we did, and it was a lovely experience.Also be aware that the final leg is on a dirt road; your map app may have a hard time, so download the route before heading out for offline use.The trek is WELL WORTH IT.The host is easy to reach and readily available if you need. Be aware the front door takes a bit to get used to unlocking.The fire pit and seating is all new and wonderful to have, as is the fireplace on cozy nights!You can see so many stars.For eating out and shopping, Birch Run and Frankenmuth can’t be beat, and there’s an Antique Store nearby that’s always hopping.Will definitely be on our “must return!” List!
