I had high expectations for this property, but it turned out to be a major letdown. We originally booked to stay at the church, drawn by its historical charm and beautiful aesthetics. However, we were forced to relocate.
First and foremost, the listing was incredibly misleading. Nowhere did it mention the steep, narrow stairs that lead to all essential rooms downstairs. If you're expecting a relaxing, accessible stay, think again. If we had known about this, we would have never booked here, as it was extremely difficult to navigate, especially with luggage. It’s baffling how the owner didn’t think to include a simple photo of these stairs in the listing. This critical oversight is deceptive and leaves guests feeling blindsided.
Furthermore, the layout is absurd and completely impractical. The sacristy area has plenty of space, yet there is no elevator. It’s 2024, and basic accessibility should be standard. This property isn’t suitable for elderly guests, families with young children, or anyone with mobility issues.
In summary, if you’re looking for a stay that matches the description, look elsewhere. This property needs major updates and a more honest approach to its listing. Save your money and book a stay where the host actually cares about providing a comfortable, accessible experience. The only redeeming factor was the beautiful wood work and historical aspect but that’s not enough to make up for the multitude of issues we faced.
