Yes, the cabin floors are original to the home and not been refinished. The cabin is described as rustic and trying to retain its original character, I have opted not to refinish the floors. The rugs are rag rugs. I am glad you were able to enjoy the space despite the rustic quality.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes the cabin is tucked away in the Huron National Forest but it is also located in a small community. The property description, although lengthy, does provide a neighborhood description so you know what to expect when you arrive. I’m glad the cabin met your expectations despite the confusion about location.

Thank you for bringing up this issue which has been addressed with housekeeping. It would have been nice if this was mentioned to me during your stay and my cleaner would have come to clean it rather than you. That’s what I pay my cleaner to do. Communication with the host is always appreciated and encouraged in my communication with my guests. It’s unfortunate that guests are not communicating issues to the host when specifically asked to do so.

I’m sorry you thought to leave a partially negative review regarding my cabin not having television or cell service but had you read the description of the cabin you would see in several places I indicate there is limited cell signal and no local television. I highly recommend you read the entire description and ensure it has the amenities you are wanting before booking.

A snowy adventure for sure! So glad you guys made it home safe and didn’t have any trees or branches fall on you! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen snow do that kind of damage.
