Sandestin 2nd stay

This was a repeat stay for us because we loved the trip so much. The condo was the perfect size and location for my family (2 adults, 2 kids 5) and my in-law. They had their space, we had ours. The proximity to beach was amazing, pool kept the kids entertained and the golf cart allowed access to the resort across the highway and restaurants/shopping. Highly recommended this stay though maybe I shouldn’t so we can keep staying here!

Great location but that’s it

We’ve stayed at several condos in San Destin and this one was the worst. Cons:- The listing says “recently updated” but I wonder how recent because all the showers have terrible mildew and the floors are nasty.- The beds and furniture are all wayyyy past their prime. Everyone complained about the state of the mattresses (sunken in and lumpy). The couch and chairs aren’t any better.- The pillows were so flat and uncomfortable.- There were no basics in the kitchen like salt and pepper. - We were provided with only one dish towel and 2 trash bags for 7 days. I asked for more and got no response. I understand they won’t supply you with everything for the duration of the stay but I feel 2 trash bags is ridiculous. - The washer was filthy and every load of towels we washed had black and brown mildew flakes on them. They either need to clean the washer or just get a new one.- The property management company was terrible at responding. I had to ask the same question multiple times to get a response. Also, I requested if we could get an early check in several days prior and they kept ghosting me. Finally, I called when we arrived and they kept giving me the run around. We got in 30 minutes early which was nice but it would’ve been better if they just told me yes or no so we could’ve planned our day a bit better. Pros:- The view was great.- There were beach toys to use which was nice.- The amenities are good.- Golf cart was fun and easy to bop around in.

First Sandestin Trip

Great trip to Sandestin. Loved this unit for the great views, comfortable beds and golf cart included with the rental. Pool is relaxing and it has food and beverages available for purchase. The resort has fun activities for kids of all ages.

Review

The place was super clean and gorgeous, a few reviews said the place was unclean and dirty, however I thought the opposite. We stayed for my bachelorette trip with my mom, sister, grandma, and friends and it was so fun! This was one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed at, and would recommend to others! We hope to be back for sure!!

Best trip ever!

Had a GREAT experience staying In this unit for our 1st trip to the Miramar Beach area! Loved it so much we are already planning to book another trip in the same unit if it's available for our dates next year! Only trouble we had was the water randomly shutting off for some reason during our stay and the fridge stopped working for about 24 hours. We lost some food and 2 ice cream birthday cakes. It eventually resolved itself somehow so other than that our stay was perfect! The view from the unit is breathtaking!

Loved it!!

We loved this rental! It is beautiful. We never got back in our car the entire trip! The golf cart was fun and the beach was gorgeous! Beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys supplied by this room really came in handy! Can’t wait to come back!

Property on cruise control

Location is great, but this property is not worth the money right now. I get the since they let it keep falling apart until it’s completely destroyed, then they fix everything and the ratings go back up. A lot of things were broken and when I called My Haven, nobody got back to me. I wouldn’t spend more than 250/night on this property.

Nice but not excellent

Beautiful view and location. Easy check in. Master bath sink did not drain. Management was confused that we were staying there as maintaince people showed up 2nd day there and walked in without knocking to fix the couch which the previous renters must have made a compliant about. When my wife told them about the sink they said ok and left and never came back. Beach is crowded which is to be expected for destin on memorial day but they let people put up umbrellas and chairs right in front of the rental chairs which makes no sense.

Perfect for family get away

Check in was very easy, all information was accessible by Hospitality app. My Vacation Haven has wonderful customer service, very professional. The condo was very clean and spacious, beautiful views of the ocean from the 21st floor. Very relaxing. Will for sure be back!

Nice Condo with Great View but SHORT on supplies

We typically do 2-3 stays per year and switch it up between beach and ski trips. This is our 3rd VRBO/Abnb at a beach location and the 2nd in Destin, all of this to say we have some experience. Also let me state for the record that we rarely pay less than $400/night for a stay as we try to make the best memories possible so we do have higher expectations. Every stay we've been has had at least a small stock of supplies left-over from previous guests...BASIC things like sugar, salt, pepper, trash bags and the like. This property had NONE of that. To be fair, they do tell you in their rules that they only provide the basics to get you started, but I say it doesn't even qualify as the basics. We had ONE trash bag in the main bin, which was already small. We had 2 dishwasher pods, which could actually be enough depending on your group size, but not for us. So we bought all of these items, only to leave them behind (luggage already at weigh limits), knowing that this mgmt. company would then collect the supplies and not provide them to the guest. so we tried to leave as much as possible in the lobby for other guests of this CHEAP MANAGEMENT COMPANY. Maybe they throw away the food but I'd be surprised if they are throwing away trash bags and dishwasher pods. There were also no potholders. There were enough dishes and glasses, although nothing plastic...for kids and for taking down to the pool etc, would have been nice. They also don't provide beach towels. VACASA always provides us with a free beach towel and always have been VERY well stocked with all of the basics, usually even more than the basics. I get it..Covid...throw everything away...but that makes no sense if you really think about it. Does sugar, salt, cooking spray, trash bags etc really get infected and become a factor in transmission? I mean they already give a covid waiver.... It just seemed REALLY cheap not to provide more than 1 trash bag. So I called and they promptly replied that that is all we would get. I responded back in a professional but frank manner and got no further responses. How hard would it be to send a maintenance guy up with a couple extra trashbags as I had requested, in the name of customer service, regardless of policy? Well we made that request and were denied. We also noticed a roach in the unit, picture on phone to substantiate that claim. Only saw 1, so hard to say it's a mess in there, because it's not, but...just FYI. Everything else was good.

Winter getaway!

The condo is beautifully furnished with beautiful views. Unfortunately, the living room furniture is very dirty. We put sheets and blankets over them to sit on. The condo had not been cleaned before we arrived. It was dirty. I had to call and let them know after we arrived.

Amazing views...

Our family had an amazing beach trip. It was exactly what we needed to rest and relax after this crazy year. The condo was spotless and had plenty of room for our family of 7. The views were spectacular since the condo was right on the beach! The only negative that we had was that the resort doesn’t allow any electric vehicles or motorcycles, except gold carts. My boys all have one wheels and we’re very disappointed that they were told they could not ride them in the resort.

Amazing condo, perfect location, responsive management!

Wow this condo was perfect in every way! As lovely as the pictures from the furnishings to the view. We had a few small items to bring to management attention when we arrived and not only were they quick to respond but also quick to remedy. The location was perfect and we enjoyed being able to drive the golf cart around the resort! We will definitely be back to this condo!
