So fun!

This is our 2nd time staying at gulf winds east! We love it here! So roomy and so close to the beach! This specific condo was soooo well stocked with everthing you need especially the kitchen! Will always be our go to for trips to destin!

Perfect townhouse in a great location

Very nice towmhouse across the street from the most beautiful beach. The weather was perfect and the white sand beach and emerald water was amazing. I will definitely be back.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay here- property was clean and well stocked. We loved how close we were to the private beach and the pool. Kitchen was well stocked. Air conditioner worked well. Only complaint was the master bedroom mattress wasn’t comfy and was noisy. We would definitely stay here again.

Renter Beware - Switched Units on Me

I booked this unit only to be told by property management the owners were using it & I was being moved to another, similar unit. I said okay and was told there was no discount as the units were comparable. If so, the pictures are deceiving as the similar unit was not good. 1) The similar unit (SU) still uses a standard key, not a door code. Trying to keep up with a key at the beach is hard enough. All the other units rented by friends had key pads. Didn't feel as safe, though we were the whole week & had to worry about losing the key in the sand. 2) The SU has standard TVs were all small and not smart TVs. 3) The SU hasn't been renovated since it was built, so it is musty, chipped paint throughout. The bathrooms are the worst, the bolts are missing the toilets so they wobble and screws are 3+ inches. The water pressure for the showers is terrible too. 4) The outdoor furniture and set up couldn't be used as sliding doors are near impossible to move & chairs are basic folding chairs. 5) The AC for the SU could barely keep the condo cool, in cool ambient temps, the summer will be rough. 6) Similar mattresses are extremely worn, could feel the springs. 7) The fans in SU sounded like they were about to fall down. 8) SU had many light bulbs burnt out & the lamps for the lights barely flipped because they are too old. If you are looking for basic condo close to the beach & pool with a bed to sleep in then it's probably okay. The fridge worked though, so that's a plus.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location of the pool and beach area were wonderful. The cleanliness of the condo not good at all. I found dirty dishes in cabinets when trying to prepare dinner. The king size bed mattress is horrible. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Construction was going on on the other side of the complex which made it harder to get in and out of the area. The internet connection was turned off before check out time.

Great Place!

My family and I loved staying here. It was a perfect location. We loved the private beach access and we were right across from the pool. It was quiet at night, the condo was clean and the kitchen was equipped with more than we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

My family and i stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it! We loved the close proximity to the beach and private access. It was awesome to be within walking distance of a Pompano Joe’s and a really cool ice cream place called Frozen Dunes. The condo had everything supplied that you could need! Blender, keurig coffee maker, all the grill tools, pots, pans, Tupperware.... you name it, its there. This was our second trip back to Destin and we will definitely be back again. You just can’t beat the comforts of home and being so close to the ocean that Gulf Winds East provides. We loved every minute of our stay! Thanks Destin Getaways!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was in a great location as it was walking distance to two other family houses and the beach. However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness. There was linens appropriately distributed but it had never been vacuumed or floors cleaned which is very unsanitary with numerous guests staying. I swept the kitchen because of the sand, bathroom floors in the king bedroom were not cleaned which you could tell by the soil on the rugs. I also wiped down the kitchen cabinets for smears, smudges and drippings. Blinds on the glass sliding doors are almost unworkable. Walking through the complex, I noticed many of the units had nice vertical blinds instead of the fake material that was in our unit #24. For the amount of money spent, I would have rather spent a bit more and got a more presentable condo where you can tell people appreciate the cleanliness and less worn out furniture! Overall, the floors, worn-unmatching furniture and cleanliness was less than desirable
