The golf cart never worked during the duration of our stay. I reported it as soon as I found out (the calls started the day we checked in) and after a few more calls our cart was finally “next” to be “repaired.” It took approximately 4 hours for someone to come and make repairs, and they did NOT get it in working order. I was never told it wasn’t going to be functioning during our stay, but rather given the expectation that it will be fixed as soon as possible. I spent so much time on my vacation trying to get answers and updates about the cart, too. I even took the time to meet the repairman with the key, even though he had a master key in the event he needed the original key. Sandestin doesn’t allow golf cart rentals on their property, so if you are banking on using the one at this unit, you better make sure it’s in working order. They were quick to drop a clause from the paperwork signed that they don’t refund any money for the golf cart not working, so read that carefully. They then acted like they’d done me a favor by what they offered. They offered $35 per day for the inconvenience. I checked pricing in the event I could rent one and it starts at $90 per 2 hours. I’m Very disappointed in the way this was handled. It was passed to upper management and they called the $35 refund per day “generous.” We were not pleased with our experience, and the fact that we were out a golf cart for the entire trip. The sad part is, we LOVED everything else about the place, but this put such a bad taste in our mouths, we won’t be back.
