The unit we stayed in was very functional as it had everything. But I contacted the host the next day after our first night at the unit as I had a couple of bites that I assumed were spider bites(which can totally happen) And she was responsive and said she would look into it. We were at the unit for 3 nights four days and after the second nigh I had a couple more bites still thinking it was no big deal. But after I got home and had unpacked everything notice that I had a lot more bites. So I went to the Dr. next day as I wanted to rule out bed bugs, the Dr. treated me for bed bugs and I had to use bed bug spray in my house and took all things that had come in contact with anything from my stay to the laundry mat. I had to miss two days of work as when I was at the Dr. I noticed that I had a couple new bites and she said until no new bites appeared I should not go to work. I had numerous contact with the host and she said she had her cleaning service in there and they confirmed no bed bugs, and that since I made tha company she had to to extra stuff and pretty much said that I had brought in the bed bugs(which I did not). I also contacted the VRBO customer service and the person I talked to was very amazing and telling me how to navigate this situation. However the second representative was not helpful and had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Needless to say I had asked for refund on my stay but that did not happen since I completed my stay….
