“Inviting, cozy, lovely surroundings. This property is exactly as described, and we very much enjoyed the sounds of the river rolling by. There were plenty of amenities inside and outside and our party of 8 was more than comfortable. The host was available and approachable and kind. Thank you for a really lovely, quiet, stay.”

“We enjoyed our stay and the comforts of the Fox Den! It was a great base camp for daily mountain adventures and we appreciated the cleanliness, the outdoor space and the fully equipped kitchen. The only downsides of our stay include the noise from the upstairs renters—we had a hard time sleeping because you could hear their every movement and it lasted into the early morning hours. “To sum it up. The owners were absolutely the most accommodating pepole i encountered To add to that. The view is absolutely life changing. To wake up with mountains at your feet is insane. The fire pit. Yes. Cmon. Sunset with that view anddd a fire pit. Theres some great food at the Sports Inn and they were also clutch in our stayJust the combination of the view, the local trails, the food and the owners being the best. I mean the best ones ive ever seenThis was my favorite stay ever”

“We would give this place 6 stars if we could. Amazing spot, close to all we wanted to do with hiking, off-roading, and great spots in Davis and Thomas. They even have a little basket with stuff for your pups which just made us really appreciate the thoughtfulness.The property is AMAZING! Creek, natural space, just awesome. They even have bundles of wood on site for 5 that made it convenient for fires at night.We’re going to be making at least and annual trip here moving forward. Loved everything...

“Came in from Huntington, wanted a place that was close distance for walking for food and drink. How could you go wrong with a name like THE ALE HOUSE? Relaxed in the apartment, walked to Big Timber had some libations and rested well. Though downtown, it was super quiet, clean, and very homey. Will stay here again! Loved it!”

“I booked two nights but we only stayed one night at the place. We could not stay two nights because the place was not cleaned. The master shower room was dirty, so I didn't even take shower. The water in the toilet was dirty, looks like no cleaning for long time then the water got nasty color. Dust bunnies on the ceiling fans. There were alot of dead bugs on the floor. Most of the window blinds were broken. I won't stay again. Not recommended. ”

“Unplugging from regular life for a week was great, nephew (age 7) went through withdrawl from the internet though. So many places to go hiking we were busy all the time. Going to town for groceries wasn't bad! The river was a bit cool for swimming, but was a grand adventure regardless. Definitely recommend!”
