Wedding Event Stay

My brother's daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Bluebird Farm in Medusa. So my 2 sisters and I stayed at the Gentlemen's Farm with our spouses, adult children and their plus ones, 11 in all, for 4 days. We thoroughly used and enjoyed all aspects of the home and grounds. Other extended family members came by to reunite each day so we were able to host them in a very comfortable and well appointed gathering place. The fire pit at night, the amazing porch and view as well as the living room, kitchen and back patio BBQ area all were very well used. Everyone complimented the property and remarked on it's fabulous qualities.THE KITCHEN IS AMAZING. I am a chef and restaurateur, so I know. Spent a lot of time in their and we had fresh eggs from the coop every day!!Never met the owner's but they called to check on us, helped us out and gave us all the privacy we needed.

Lovely house, gorgeous view, and stellar hosts

We spent a few days at the property around new years to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and had a wonderful experience. The house is so cozy and the property is awesome. It was decorated for Christmas still and was so perfect. We enjoyed dinners together at the large dining room table, cooked some great meals in the spacious kitchen and made use of the Blackstone flattop griddle out back. Fresh eggs in the mornings from the chickens on the property was an unexpected but amazing treat! The hosts were super responsive and answered any questions we had. They were quick to resolve an issue we had with the water as well (it was self inflicted).There was plenty to do within a 30 minute drive including Windham Mountain. We did two relatively easy hikes: Vroman's nose which had a stunning view at the top, and a very quick hike to a small waterfall at the EN Huyck Preserve. The kids did some tubing (mud sliding really) at Windham.The restaurant options are limited but that's to be expected and we actually really enjoyed Two Guys Local Bites which was right down the road. The kitchen was fully stocked with coffee, tea, and spices as well as a plethora of stainless steel pots and pans and bakeware. The only thing that we were missing was a nice size nonstick pan for the fresh eggs but we managed with the steel and some extra oil. All in all this was one of the nicest stays we've had and would definitely recommend this property!

Very Special

If you want to chill out and disconnect from the world, this is the place to go!! House was spotless! Amazing views of rolling fields and mountains.Chickens on the property! Erika, the owner, was so gracious in sharing her property. There were towels with little bath soaps in each room, fresh cut flower arrangements in the kitchen, a basket of fresh chicken eggs, and a lovely welcome basket! We spent most of our time on the porch watching "hummingbird TV"! She has hummingbird feeders all over and they just flocked to them!! Area is quiet. Some great restaurants around. But just being able to do nothing was fantastic! Kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook. Everything you needed was right there! You didnt need to leave the property! Thank you again, Erika and Dan! We loved your home!!!

Wonderful Stay in the Catskills

We are two families with kids ranging from 6-16 years old and our pug-shitzhu mix. We all felt at home on this lovely property. We were lucky to experience the holiday decor which made everything feel warmer. The kids really enjoyed running around outside, feeding chickens, collecting fresh eggs every morning, not to mention the toys and games in the house. The adults had everything we needed in the well supplied kitchen and we all took in the breath-taking views. The owners are so kind and sweet. It was a perfect getaway.

Beautiful Home

I loved the property and our stay was relaxing, peaceful, full of laughs and family time. We had everything we needed to cook family meals, my sons particularly loved the outdoor griddle. We enjoyed the bonfire and lounging on the outside porches. We had several events and a wedding to attend in the area and this was the perfect place for me and my siblings and some of our children to stay.

An excellent place for our family gathering. Secluded and quiet. View better than described. Abundant and varied bird watching from the extremely comfortable porch. Great firepit. Well-equipped kitchen. Delicious eggs, herbs, and greens from the owners' chicken coop and garden generously included.

Great stay!

Perfect for large groups to hang out and have a long, nature-filled weekend! The kitchen is large and well-stocked, the living room and dining room are well laid out for many people to hang out, and the beds are comfortable. Hosts are very communicative and had many great recommendations. Overall we had a great time and are already discussing a fall visit.

Great Place for a Large Group

Erika’s place was wonderful! It was clean, spacious, and the view was amazing! Even though Erika couldn’t control the heat outdoors, the AC kept us cool when we needed a break from the heat. I’d recommend this home if you want some peace and quiet and a relaxing vibe for your family. Lots of stuff to do in the area yet the property is quite secluded.

Fabulous stay in gorgeous location!

The Perfect Getaway!

We had a great time at Erika and Dan’s place! The communication was super easy from the start, and the place looks exactly like we expected it to. The location is pretty isolated- surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, making it a perfect city escape. Erika and Dan’s place is spacious enough for a big group, very clean, and has all the necessities you need from kitchen supplies, toiletries, linens etc. Erika and Dan were very helpful from the beginning, available at all times whenever we had any questions. They were also close by to the house itself during our stay, checking in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed! This couldn’t have been a better place to spend a relaxing weekend at with a big group of friends, and we are looking forward to staying here again soon.

Fabulous Mountain View Getaway

If you are looking for a Catskill Mountain retreat with a spectacular mountain view this is it! We spent a wonderful few days here with our adult children and grandchild and enjoyed all the many things this property had to offer: lots of space for everyone, a picturesque pond, fire pit with panoramic views and a spacious well designed house with a lovely porch. Everything was spotless, comfortable and well equipped.Our granddaughter loved the opportunity to feed the chickens, gather eggs and shower the horse with love. We were welcomed with a thoughtful gift basket that included treats for children and adults. Erika was incredibly warm and friendly. You will not find a better place to rent in the Catskills! Book it.

Heaven in the Catskills

Our group spent three nights over Memorial Day weekend at this property and it was probably the best experience any of us had so far. Everything was perfect, from the beautifully designed and appointed house to the absolutely spectacular location and views. The hosts, Erika and Dan, spared no effort in trying to make sure our stay went smoothly and enjoyably. This place is a real gem and we would definitely recommend it. Relax and Recharge

The property included all the items you need to entertain your friends and family. The house has a beautiful layout suited for group dinners and a chef kitchen to make memorable meals. There is also an outdoor patio, fire pit area, and grill as other options to congregate. Our favorite part was the farm attached to the property. We collected fresh eggs and were able to meet the chickens, horse, and donkey. The kids were able to run around and the adults took in the beautiful scenery as this property sat on a hill overlooking the landscape. Just sitting on the porch and taking in the mountain air melted your stress away. Erika and Dan are gracious hosts who listen and try to personalize your stay. What a treat to stay at this property. We hope to return soon.

Magical scene for our small wedding

Four days at the farm provided a what felt like a month of relaxation for our family. From gorgeous sunrise to sunset we waddled after the chickens, greeted the horse and donkey, welcomed the goslings to the pond, found turtles sunning themselves, watched Bobolinks, Cedar Waxwings, Killdeer, Hummingbirds, Bluebirds and even an eagle fly by. The grounds are truly magical- from our first breath out of the car, we felt the ease of the country. Spectacular hosts, Erika & Dan ensured the house was perfectly clean, beautifully designed and furnished to inspire. They were gracious enough to allow us to host a small wedding on the steps of their home. Our photos are full of beauty- the scenery, the porch, the backyard grill space, the open floor plan, the smiles of our loved ones. The kitchen is perfect for hosting, with high counters and guests never wanted to leave the comfort of the wrap around porch. Six adults and our baby stayed over and each had a gorgeous room to call home base. We are thankful beyond measure to have found this paradise at which to celebrate our marriage.

Relaxing family time in God's Country

"Dreamlike" is the first word that comes to mind about our long weekend away here. Erika and Dan went above and beyond making us feel special and taken care of with homey and sweet touches. The property is absolutely breathtaking. Our 18 month old loved visiting with the animals and collecting fresh chicken eggs from the henhouse (also the best eggs we have ever eaten! YUM) Erika gave us wonderful recommendations for lunch and shared her granddaughters toys with us. The house had every luxury and comfort one could possibly want or need and is well taken care of and clean. I can only imagine how special this place is during every season especially Fall. We will certianly be back. Thank you again Erika and Dan!
