Villa "Le Vallecchie" con vistas a Siena y con piscina privada

La villa es independiente y está equipada con una piscina privada al aire libre (no climatizada). La propiedad cuenta con un parque de una hectárea. El jardín está iluminado por la noche y se puede comer al aire libre bajo un bosque de robles.   • #TroveOn Yes, Monteriggioni just might be the quintessential walled medieval village in Tuscany. It's small enough to perhaps be called "cute" but you won't catch me using this term. Monteriggioni began as a border fortress built on a round hill by Sienna against the Florentines. It is famous for the intact defensive structure that held up against repeated Florentine attacks in the 11th century; its 10 meter high walls and 14 towers can still be seen for miles around. Monteriggioni has been featured in movies as a typical medieval village. The village is slightly elliptical in shape with two gates (a third has been plugged). The major gate tourists will use when coming from the parking lot, Porta Franca, owes its name to the Via Francigena--Monteriggione was a major stop on the pilgrimage trail from Cantebury to Rome. The Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Assunta will offer assistance with housing for modern pilgrims traveling the Francigena pilgrimage route. Monteriggioni was a sleepy village of farmers and sheep herders as late as the 1960's. Today it exists entirely for tourists and pilgrims. You'll find wine shops, a tasting room, restaurants and hotels in the small village. This is not neccessarily a disadvantage, although some times it's nice to see some locals puttering about once in a while. Where is Monteriggioni? Monteriggioni is located in the province of Siena, 14km to the northwest of Siena (54km from Florence). While it can be done as a day trip from Siena, you might be better off staying the night--Monteriggioni is much more evocative when the tourists leave late in the afternoon and you can sit in a courtyard sipping a glass of Chianti. Monteriggioni is surrounded by vineyards, and is known for its wine production.

This villa is in a great location,beautiful view of Siena , and easy to get around .The kitchen is very well equipped, best we have seen.Unfortunately this villa needs upgrades, love and attention, grounds need upkeeping, Window screens were inadequate.We were a party of 6 people 3 couples , we had our own bedroom and washroom.One couple did not have hot water for showers. Mido was very attentive, but it seems he had just started as he did not know the villa well. he was excellent and attentive in getting things done as quickly as possible. Unfortunately we could not use the pool because of weather.

The location is fantastic - rural, quiet and very private but not far from Siena.The check-in process was seamless and Joseph who was our contact was always available to solve any problems.Only one issue were some challenges with the pool towards the end of our stay but I believe these were tempoary and shouldn't put anyone off.

We just returned from spending eight days at this authentic and charming Tuscan villa, and we couldn't be more satisfied. It lies very close to Monteriggioni and Siena and a bunch of other towns, and the location seemed quite perfect.The house is old and beautiful and it honestly feels like a slice of true Tuscan living. Very secluded and private with a magnificent view of Siena and a wonderful garden and a patio that smells of lavender and rosemary. The rooms were large and cozy with large beds, and after days of swimming and exploring the wonders of Tuscany, we never had any trouble falling a sleep.The outdoor area was magnificent, and the pool area was particularly fantastic. The pool is larger than it seems in the pictures, and Mido the pool guy attended it quite often to make sure everything was alright. Joseph - the caretaker I presume - was always on call and willing to help. Very nice people.We are definately returning to this villa, and recommend it to anybody who likes a bit of authentic Toscany. Don't expect any luxury, as you will be disappointed, but expect a quiet and beautiful place in the hills outside Siena.And if you go, don't skip on Colle Val d’Elsa which is the most gorgeous river I have ever seen (and bathed in). It lies about 25 minutes from the villa.10/10 from Danmark

Fabulous country style house

My family of four spent one week in this wonderful house outside Siena. There was plenty of space, and it was quite luxurious, as we were four people sharing four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are several power socket adapters in the house, even though EU phone chargers will also fit the regular power sockets. We used the billiards a lot, and the superb outdoors pool even more. The house is located in the forest together with a few other houses. This also means that there are some insects. There were some horse flies around the pool, but it didn't bother us too much.Correspondence with Lucia, Nicola and Joseph was responsive and very much service-minded throughout our stay. Thank you!

Review

The property was as described, it was old but well equipped. We had a couple of problems with electricity failure in the kitchen and a toaster not working but we did get them resolved after contacting the property manager and it wasn’t a major issue. WiFi coverage in the house and garden was excellent.

Amazing Villa in the middle of the wood!

We stayed in Villa Le Vallecchie for our holiday. Villa was unbelievable. It has a private swimming pool with the view on Siena's city. The garden is very big and with lawn and the wood. Inside the house was divided in two floor. In the ground floor it was the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, the biliard and a bathroom. Upstairs we had 4 rooms and 3 bathrooms. The location was amazing: near Siena and Chianti area. We will come back next year!

Très belle maison dans les terres toscanes

Maison comme sur les photos, la piscine est immense et la terrasse est ombragée par un arbre immense. Joseph était aux petits soins pour nous et très réactif à nos demandes et en plus il parle un peu le français! La piscine est contrôlée tous les 2 jours. Les points négatifs sont la pression et l’eau chaude dans les douches….impossible de se laver à 4 en même temps à moins d’aimer l’eau froide. Le wifi n’est pas très performant à l’extérieur.

Douceur sur les hauteurs de Sienne

Séjour très agréable dans une région magnifique. Tranquillité absolue Loin de la pollution atmosphérique ou sonore. Sienne est une ville remplie de charme. Nombreux restaurants dans les environs : mention spéciale pour La Dama nella vigna. Hôte facilement joignable et réactive. Propriété superbe, bien aménagée, bien exposée et belle piscine. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Merci à notre hôte.

House with lot of space and wonderful pool

The state of the house was fine only the bathrooms needs to be renovated soon. Communication and service with Sara and Alex was excellent. A little bit strange was, that the owner refused to add mattresses for the sunloungers for hygenic reasons.

Fantastic Place

6 of us stayed at this lovely country Villa, fantastic, clean, host was awesome and we were so sad to leave. Great restaurants within a 15 min drive and a beautiful and clean large pool. I can't wait to get back there. Highly recommend a stay here if you want to tour Tuscany, the location is so central.

Lovely farm house in Tuscany. Easy drive to Siena and close to Monteriggioni (a lovely mountain top town with great restaurants). Nice swimming pool. Close to hiking paths. Will recommend to friends and family that would like to be in the country side.

Toscane op zijn best

Het is een fantastisch huis op een fantastische locatie. Uitzicht op Siena. Prima uitvalsbasis voor de bekende steden van Toscane. Heerlijk zwembad. Het huis is geschikt voor 4 stellen, 4 slaapkamers en 4 badkamers. Een aantal badkamers zou een upgrade kunnen gebruiken. Prima ondersteuning door Lucia en Marcella. We hopen nog eens terug te komen.

Eine schöne Zeit

Haus ist und liegt wunderschön. Tolles Grundstück, super Pool und herrlicher Blick. Schöne Aufteilung der Zimmer und Bäder. Betten waren prima, in die schönen Holzschränke konnten wir leider nichts hängen, da diese sehr müffelten. Sollten vielleicht über den Winter bzw. nach dem Putzen geöffnet bleiben zum Trocknen. Plastikstühle und Liegen sind praktisch aber passen irgendwie nicht zu dem charmanten Haus. Alles andere war sehr gut. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Heerlijke plek

Lucia, dank je wel voor de gastvrijheid en Marcella, dank je wel voor de fijne ontvangst. We hadden een heerlijke 3-generaties-vakantie in Villa Le Vallecchie! Het huis zelf is heel ruim en we vonden het fijn dat er vier badkamers en een wasmachine zijn. We genoten van het uitzicht over de Toscaanse heuvels en op Siena en we hadden veel plezier in het zwembad. Prettig is het ook, dat steden als Siena, Firenze en San Giminano van hieruit goed bereikbaar zijn. We hebben mooie herinneringen gemaakt en kijken met heel veel plezier terug op ons verblijf in Monteriggioni.

Nettes Ferienhaus in sehr guter Lage

Grundsätzlich guter Gesamteindruck, ich würde empfehlen, die Badezimmer, speziell die Duschkabinen zu erneuern. Die Betreuung vor Ort war sehr gut, die Lage sehr gut. Das Platzangebot im Haus sehr gut, die Poolterasse bei Schönwetter wirklich ideal zum Entspannen.
