This property is a great place for a large number of people with lots of space for sleeping and a huge grounds for activities. Would definitely recommend for a party.

We had a bachelor party here and overall we enjoyed our stay but we did have some problems with the property. The good: Super easy check in process. The host is super nice and easy to get in touch with if you need something quickly. The bar downstairs is great and you can fit so many people in the house it’s perfect for bachelor/bachelorette parties or family gatherings. The house is very secluded and you don’t have to worry about neighbors. The back deck is spacious and has a fire pit to help keep the bugs away at night. The bad: Not the cleanest place ever. The floors had lots of dead bugs. You can tell whoever cleans the floors doesn’t do a very good job. There’s some holes in the wall and fans that are missing blades so you cannot use them. The pool was low on water and extremely dirty as nothing was going into the filter. We could not use the hot tub due to the overwhelming algae like smell coming from the inside when you took the cover off. The “game room” is a really dirty rundown garage with a couple sports balls and ping pong table. We could not get the oven to work and had to light the burners on the stove and the grill outside manually. Overall, if the pool/hot tube got fixed and cleaners did a better job I would rent this house again. However, be cautious if you pick this house for the amenities because it’s not exactly how it’s pictured in the listing.

We do not often write reviews but staying at this property was the worst experience ever. There were bugs crawling all over the property including kitchen counters and bar counters. Basement carpet and couches were disgusting and had a stains all over them. Basement couches were part of sleeping beds however no one could sleep as they were dirty plus ceiling fans were broken, shaking and making noise all the time. Three out of 5 basement rooms were without AC and had fans which were not properly working. It was so muggy and hot to stay there in basement. Main floor AC had programmed nest thermostat that would shut off at night making house so hot before it could be cooled down. We were not informed of this programming and we spend 1st night in very hot house. The house has no freshness and smells moldy and muggy regardless of fans and AC on. The swimming pool was so bad that some of the nails were coming off and two of the kids got cut in their feet while trying to get into the pool using the steps. Game room is a joke full of bugs, insects and spider webs again. Kids would not even want to enter it looking at the filthy conditional. Front lawn was mowed however not treated due to which there were so many mosquitoes and kids couldnt play there. The grill was one of the dirtiest grill we have ever seen. Our plan for bbq was cancelled due to gross grill and health concern. This was family reunion, not the 1st one, but the worse one. Even the kids under 10 were sayin

Thanks so much for a great stay. This is such a wonderful place for large groups! Nice hikes in the area too, which we took advantage of. Kitchen and bar area was especially good for cooking and eating for 30+ people!

The perfect place to relax! We had such a great time here, hanging out in the family room downstairs, cooking together in the kitchen, and relaxing in the hot tub. The house was well described, the host was friendly and reponded to all of our questions quickly. Definitely on our list of places to stay again!

I recently stayed here for a weekend with a group of 26 friends and everything could not have been better. The pictures don’t do the house justice, it is even nicer in person and has more than enough spots for sleeping. The bar in the downstairs area is amazing and is a great spot for everybody to hang out. Not to mention Shira was very helpful with any questions I had including during the weekend of the stay. would 100% stay here again if I ever find myself in the area in the future.

We were a party of 24 and the house was still big enough for us. We really enjoyed our staycation. The kitchen had 3 sinks and it was well equipped and was big enough to prepare food for everybody. The pool was clean and huge and the hot ub was perfect for night time. Shira, the host, was very responsive and very accommodating. Thank you once again for letting us stay in your gorgeous house.

I cannot express how perfect our stay was here. We had a small intimate wedding for our closest friends and family, and here there was not only enough room for everyone to stay, but also the woods behind the house were the perfect location for our little ceremony. Shira was so kind and accommodating with any needs we had, and even left these adorable "Mr. & Mrs." signs at the house... I could keep going on. But if you're looking for somewhere to have a great time with friends and family in the mountains for a weekend, I can't recommend here enough.

We were a family of 14 adults and 14 children. Southwoods Estates had absolutely everything we needed. The pool is large enough for a refreshing swim for adults, and just perfect for the kids. The hot tub also got rave reviews. The huge deck accommodated us all comfortably. There's so much to do right on the grounds that we didn't have to go anywhere, and there's plenty of space indoors as well. Everything was spotless, the beds were cozy and the "royal master suite" was pleasantly over-the-top. Last but not least, for any family requiring kosher kitchen amenities, the kosher pantry is perfect and the location is near everything you need, but feels light-years away when you turn down the private driveway to this secluded estate. I hope we'll be back next summer!

Wonderful location with great potential. The house has tons of space and parking for even a very large group; the deck / hot tub / outdoor fireplace provides a terrific gathering area; there is a lot to do in the area (we took a hike to Mullet Brook Falls and it is *gorgeous*). The large dining room table seats 12 people or so, and the kitchen is big enough to feed everyone. However, for the price, we were expecting a turnkey, well maintained and stocked home. The reason for my lower rating is that there were more than a few cleaning and maintenance issues (examples -- towels/sheets/dishes aren't fully clean, sticky floors, no top sheets on beds, temporary blinds, broken door to porch, pool was green with algae upon our arrival). The owner is very responsive and I believe all of these issues can readily be resolved (we shared extensive details), so hopefully future guests won't experience the same problems.

Our golf trip to Southwoods Mountain Vacation was an absolute paradise! The estate provided luxurious accommodations for our group of 13, with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. The amenities were incredible, we loved the full bar and game room. The location was ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions. The host's communication and support were exceptional. We highly recommend this estate for any size get together.
