Oyster Shack by the Bay / 4 minutes to Morehead City Waterfront/Big Rock Landing

  • This immaculate 2 bedroom, 1 & ½ bath cottage, including an enclosed double car garage, is located within minutes of downtown Morehead City’s waterfront and all the fun activities and restaurants it has to offer. The cottage can house 4 people comfortably, and I just recently replaced the couch with a sleeper sofa that can accommodate 2 additional guests. It is in a transitional neighborhood and within walking distance of the Calico Creek Boardwalk/Bird Sanctuary and Morehead City Waterfront where the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament and NC Seafood Festival are held each year. Many other water accesses are close by, including the Intracoastal Waterway and sandy beaches overlooking it. Historic Beaufort is 9 minutes away by car.

    The cottage is equipped with a full kitchen, high speed internet, and 3 smart TVs. There is also a gas grill and all kinds of equipment to enjoy the beach or try your hand at catching fish or crabs. Bring your boat as there is parking space for 3 cars and a boat with trailer.
    Well behaved and well-groomed pets are welcome for an extra fee per pet. If you would like to let them outside for a while unleashed, the enclosed garage has a doggie door that leads into a small fenced-in area outside. There is also an off-leash dog park at the Rotary Park Dog Park a few miles away from the cottage.

Very pet friendly and our dogs were very comfortable and enjoyed their stay. The place was very clean & the kitchen is completely equipped with everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend especially to the lover.

This place was so nice!! Many amenities available for anything you may have forgotten or just love, like the great selection of coffees! Pamela was very responsive and apologized for the confusion about the check in process by calling me personally. Very sweet of her! Loved how close it was to the Big Rock Landing and the beach access was only a quick trip across the bridge. We had a great stay and would definitely book here again!

Pamela was the absolute best host I've ever had, hands down. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. Super clean, so cute and full of amenities, we truly felt like we were part of her family. We cannot wait to come back!

The house was very clean and nicely decorated. Pamela, the host, was very accommodating. We didn't have a truck to move the kayaks to a launch site, and she offered to move them for us. I would definitely rent her home again.

Everything about this place was perfect. The host thought of everything. If you might possibly need it - she has it stocked. Very beachy and vacation feeling accents. Great AC. Great coffee options, she even left complimentary snacks, drinks and welcome boxes for us!!! Kiddos loved the garage hang out area. Adults sat on the porch and bird watched and enjoyed the water view. Friendly next door neighbors and a neighbor cat who visited a few times. Extremely pleasant and lovely stay. Only one full bathroom was a disappointing discovery, bit awkward with 2 families. Wish the huge master closet was a small attached bath instead. But the host was so kind and thoughtful, 5 stars.
